Zipp 303 S Rear wheel £299 - seller is the one which used to shift Wiggle returns, now listed as Evans Cycles.

Typical I'm only after a front and they only have the rear... At that price it's almost worth buying for the rim...

They have the 404 Firecrest front for £339 and a rear for £439. Paid £1400 for mine!

I watched a GCN video about cycling Xmas gifts and they mentioned the Topeak E-Booster Digital Pump. (Not that I can find them in stock anywhere) Has anyone used one?
Don't know that one, a teammate has the V1 of this one https://www.cycplus.com/products/tiny-pump-for-bike and used it once, very neat and feels pretty premium made. Use code 'ktawolf' for a 5% discount if it still works - from one of the Insta influencers

These products you see on instagram are available for a fraction of the price on Temu. The cycling stuff is no different. They just chuck some money in front end to get followers and a fancy looking website then just add a premium onto the price they get them out of china for.
I carry this, paid about a quarter of the two listed above from there. Works great, get almost 2 full inflations from a charge. 120 grams.

Cycplus is £70 and you're right @Vandle - just the hard thing for most of us is getting a brand we feel we can trust, plenty of garbage on Temu (and Aliexpress) with zero chance of getting support or your money back.

Need some middle ground. I'd happily spend £30 or 40 on one and not be too concerned as long as it worked for 12+ months! The convenience is worth that. How old is yours @Vandle and how many times have you used it? Really how much faith and trust do you have in it not to carry a frame pump or co2?!

@Junglist @Martynt74 @AndyCr15 had an email from Whoop (took 5 days) saying "Unfortunately, there is a slight processing delay within our system and the website. The shorts are in fact currently out of stock"

Looking now and it shows the L size as 'Only 8 Left' so I've tried to place an order again and will see what happens. Maybe now the weekend BF rush is over...!? :o

Tyres were honestly awesome. Only a few minor slips that anything would have slipped on I think. Sure I didn't have enough to really smash it down hill over rocky ground but they performed well. £100 spent OK I think.. fun day out and they'll do it again...

Now I just need to get an actual gravel bike.
Good to hear! Good luck with the search.

I'm considering what to get around that size... I've got 'spare' wheels. Last icy spell had a bit of a 'sideways' incident and just think for the handfull of times per year - even only a week or two in our worst winters, that we have icy roads it's worth doing. I'm expecting a big speed hit considering 95% of my commute is on fast roads/tarmac so they'll get quite worn using them for any long periods, but still planning to be running usual winter tyres for the rest of the time (current Vittoria Rubino 28mm, will be back to GP5000 afterwards in 30mm) if I make it an easy swap...

@AndyCr15 one for your Jalon trip. Some kid has just beaten Pogacars segment on a local climb! How's your hill training?

EDIT - Actually i'm confused. Unsure if it's been removed as the Strava website still has Pog as the record holder. Was checking as i'm sure i had done the same climb, but i think i've only descended it.
Probably been flagged into oblivion! Damn e-bikers... :o

Yeah there is some rubbish out there no doubt. There are reviews on temu although how real they are is another thing.

I’ve had it 3 or 4 months, tested it a few times at home and it’s been fine. Used it once in the wild when my Mrs got a pinch flat and brought a dud co2 cartridge with her and had no problems. I generally charge it when I charge the Garmin. The red light turns green in only a few minutes so battery works well. I seldom ride alone though, just the last couple of k’s when heading home and break from the group so feel it’s a chance worth taking.

Yeah think i'd be willing to take the risk too. Stuff like this always ends up just being the same across manufacturers and then re-branded so i wouldn't have an issue with it.

Got my Van Rysel shorts today and they seem pretty decent for the price. Liking the little pocket

Also whilst looking for that link i see theres a discount on one of the higher end helments and trying to decide whether it swap the one i'd ordered.

One i ordered

Higher priced one discounted down to same price as the above

I'd be worried about fires with any cheapo electronics.
even some cheap usb cables are a fire hazard

That little pocket on each leg is so useful for anything quick access. Gel etc sits there no issues.

I’ve got 2 siroko bibs delivered today, under £100 all in. Pads feel good and XL fits me well. 5’9 89kg.

Yeah i get that, although i mainly have issues due to being ~190cm and all cycling tops being really short on me!
Honestly I’ve spent so much money trying to find things that fit. I’m short but years of lifting heavy things mean I’m now weirdly shaped haha.. and it’s either too long or too short or too tight in wrong areas.

Did an hour in those new siroko shorts. Pretty good! Very comfy and nice material. Pad was great too. I got the

Basil and BX Bionaz ones. Biomaz seems to have a thicker / harder pad but that’s fine. Will try the basil ones next ride.
