Have seen the photo, how on earth did you break it?

yes thats Di2.

I don't really know. I was just riding along went to shift to the small ring, heard a strange noise and it wouldn't shift, stopped and noticed the damage.

I did fall over on that side, just under a year ago. I guess it could have weakend the metal, or the chain jammed. Fortunately, I wasn't too far from home.

Just waiting in the surgical ward to get my collarbone sorted. Quite looking forward to feeling like I'm actually making progress wrt healing/recovery.
Good luck dude!
Has anyone done the Zwift FTP builder training? Interested to see what it's like.
I saw at least 2 from here doing it last winter/autumn, Richard and Dave possibly?
If anyone wants a laugh, take a look at the new BMC and Cervelo TT bikes.
The Cervelo is certainly only aimed at Tri and Ironman riders due to all of the UCI rules it breaks...

Looks too TRON for most, but I'd ride it! I mean look at all those places you can hide tools/food/batteries/motors! ;)
the cycle to work scheme has just started at work and so I am going to take advantage of it. I am looking at getting a Felt Z5 2016 from Wiggle but wanted to know if there were any other options I should be thinking of? Spending limit is max £1k as that's all c2w gives you.

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/felt-z5-2016/

EDIT: question 2: Once I receive my new bike, where is the best place for me to sell my old bike? Is it ebay?
It'd be worth checking where your c2w scheme/voucher can be used, that will normally dictate what choices you have...

Selling it - Ebay, Local Fb buy/sell pages, fb cycling buy/sell pages & pinkbike website/forums.
Can you guys give me some advice on replacing a broken part on my bike please?

I think it's called the front derauiler cage
Yeah it's the FD cage. It'd be worth asking the LBS if they can get the cage itself as a replacement part. Failing that I'd be tempted to try and source it myself and then get them to fit it for you to avoid any issues. That or (like you've seen) whole new FD. Di2 is expensive! :o :(

It's growing on me slightly. I’m sure it looks mean in the flesh and fast to ride. I bet it's not cheap! Don’t like the look of disc's on it though, some discreet D-A callipers would be nicer to look at.

Must be a big gamble by Cervelo to develop it in the first place.

....slightly.

I expect it's been in dual development with the S3 disc they announced last month, again an aero bike with discs, with better aerodynamics, stiffness and other optimisations over the existing rim version. Warning: tangent!
When you consider all the wind/flow development they've done with that, along with the track orientated T5GB developed for Team GB at Rio then a Tri/Iron bike was only a slightly more evolved step. A gamble, maybe, but not really a risky one when you consider the development time already spent. Couple that with the T5GB's success at Rio driving their name forwards...
As the 'standard' S3 has already been around a couple of years (Cervelo also don't tend to release new versions on a whim) I'm betting we'll not see a new version until 2018, only then with suitable improvements over the current S3 and maybe even over the S3 disc... Who knows! :)

I just know I want one... (an S3 rim/disc, not the P5x)

The P5 has been around quite a while now too, although I think that's had several evolutions more recently?
The P5 is/was the most popular bike in Ironman!

This new P5x will be lapped up by the wealthy, AG athletes.
Exactly. With the new/recent big influx of Tri and Iron athletes, many of them not coming from a cycling background, the market is/was wide open for high end dedicated tri/iron bikes from most manufacturers. Cervelo & BMC are just some of the first we're seeing.

What are the Endura pad options pantaloons like? I can't find anywhere to tell me how wide a pad I would actually need.
I thought the Castelli Free Aero bib shorts would be good, with the progetto x2 pad, and they are... but not as good as I hoped. Maybe it's just because I got soaked in them, but they were not comfortable at all by the end (of 91) miles.

Also they dig in at the top of the leg, but maybe that's cos I'm a fat ****

This will help if you know your saddle sizing...

And...nope - stuck in overnight after all :(
Doh! Hope the food is ok...!
Cheers. Shoulder was 1 inch short so I'm def glad I got it too :)
Ooooh, scary thought, now none of your clothes will fit...

Did they cut your hair while you were there!

You didn't expect to get much sympathy here did you? ;)

Seriously though, take it easy and recover well. Don't push your recovery too hard! :)

Thats the one. Im warming too it just like the p5x. 24 hours does wonders! :p

But I am a BMC fanboi. I'm just waiting to see if they do a TMR version as I didnt get on with the TT position.
Haha, I didn't dislike the P5X when I first saw it but I'm still struggling a little with the TM. Partly because I see it with the 'seat-forward' and back box position and it really breaks up the lines of the rear triangle. Makes me hate it as it looks ugly! With the seat-back position it's much more of a traditional shape (and easier on the eye). Can see how the latter position would make it much more 'acceptable' and with the low-cockpit doesn't it then become UCI legal?

OMG.WHAT.HAVE.YOU.DONE.:confused::eek:

Shamrock will love them but seriously Ross, have a word with yourself! I'm going to place blame with your mrs being on holiday - as I'm confident you wouldn't have done it with here there.:o

Almost completed my garage turbo setup last night! Finally shifted loads of the move boxes last weekend (to a mate who's moving) and stacked all the garden furniture/BBQ better to reclaim half of the garage for bikes and turbo setup. If I can escape from DIY duties later I'll start the pain.

EDIT: derp. Potatocam.

Gave my cheapo Aldi gear (base layer, jacket, leg warmers, socks) a run-out last night. Wasn't super cold - around 7c but all very toasty, maybe even a tiny fraction too toasty. Leg warmers stayed up the whole ride - didn't have to fiddle with them once, the beanie cap thing kept head and ears lovely and warm.

I still need to sort out the gloves situation - mine are ok in Autumn weather only. Couple of months and my fingers are going to be dropping off.

You need a TV mounted to the wall! Nice space though, you can do loads with that!

And pffft to your thoughts. Pink zipps are the nuts! Need some more stickers to do the front now :p I can change them whenever I like, no harm done, but I like them :D

Snap. The seatpost in the far back position and without the box...with the V-shape & low cockpit looks much much better.

I used dhb amberley gloves with some cheap silk liners last year. Not too expensive and kept me warm enough.
