Road Cycling

I try this, but I have one set on 28s, one 25s with 60mm presta, one 40mm presta, then 27.5 mtb and 29er... I have a boat ton of tubes!

This annoys me too, I'm almost down to a couple of sizes, running either 23/25s or 33/35s for CX! Due to get rid of my MTB. All about valve extenders for non removable valve cores to minimise the worry when you're in the arse end of nowhere.

I drove into work today, fearing the weather. I averaged about 11mph. This is compared to averaging close to 16mph on the bike. Lame.
Rule #5 & #9! :p

I tend to always buy 25-28 tubes now as I won't run 23 tyres again (If I swap a tube for someone on 23's that's their problem for not carrying their own tubes lol). You could just buy 25-28 tubes with 60mm valves to cover every road eventuality and run long valves on your normal rims. And of course MTB you should be running tubeless! ;)
Order from Wiggle.
Purchase from Halfords for extortionate amount.
Return Wiggle tubes to Halfords.
;)
Just make sure you retain the Halfords packaging and have no soul! :p

Mountain Warehouse stuff is generally of poor quality from my experience. Never liked any of their hiking gear though I have not tried the merino.

Good work mate, it's surprising how much being clipped in can make a difference. I recently sold an old bike with flat pedals, I took it once around the block before doing so and found it a very strange sensation (after riding clipless for ~4 years & only riding flat pedals 3 time during that time!).

See you on Zwift sometime!? ;)

I thought the whole Zwift thing was more geared towards smart turbos? I've got the Fluid 2 so just set it up and rattle away with the effort scales on the CTHX Cycles youtube trainer sessions.

EDIT

Just gone onto the Zwift website and it does support the Cyclops Fluid 2 and I have a speed and Cadence sensors so it could work for me.

You mean you don't have a spare stock of 10 tubes at home? Tut tut.

I had 3 spares which were 650's some how :( The tube that's been out with me most of the year as a spare in my pocket has been the wrong size tube this entire time haha.

I also had 2 tubes in my summer wheels, so nabbed them to put in winter wheels but new tyres are stupid tight, so ended up pinching both of them and ruining 2 good tubes.... So 5 tubes in total = useless!

Yup, it works with trainers listed on the website!

Basically trainers listed have a known power curve (inbuilt resistance level at given speeds) so it can calculate zpower for you (Zwifts virtual power). Using this it calculates how your onscreen avatar moves, as your trainer isn't 'smart' then Zwift cannot alter the resistance for you, it can only slow you down on screen (as your power output doesn't increase, increase the output and you'll speed up!). It's not strictly 'smart' but still interactive enough to enjoy, you just have to control your resistance levels, rather than the trainer being controlled by software.

Fingers crossed then as I've already ordered! :p;)

Continental tubes have the same packaging from both suppliers, identical bar codes ;)

They didn't even check what was inside them :o

If you are going to charge £9 for a tube that can be had for £3 online, even if you are a high street store, you deserve everything you get :p

As I type this I'm pretty certain they price match Wiggle?... least local stores have for me and others around the country.

What a noob. I'm actually really disappointed in you as I expected better. :(

Not bad considering most of them are open until 8pm weeknights, 6pm saturdays and 5pm sundays! Very handy for emergency need-it-now maintenance parts!
They also price match themselves as they charge more in-store than online for so many items :D
Lulwut?!

Admittedly outside of emergency bits they are one of the few places I'll shamelessly window shop in, with absolutely no intentions of buying anything.

Also the only place I'd found blue Loctite in the little mini lipstick thing, loads cheaper than most places online.

News just in. My 810 is playing silly b*ggers again as it's somehow updated automagically itself to v5.10 when I had spent time rolling it back to v5.00 and haven't opened Garmin Express on my PC since (& it's disabled from startup). FFS & WTF! Grr!

That should do it!

I'll take a look into the 14 day trial once I'm back from New York and see what i make of it. I'll probably just have my bike set up as i do for my turbo sessions and take it from there.

On the New York front I'm possibly going to take my Garmin across and go cycling one day in Central Park just so I've got a random map of me cycling there :D
