Reflective just look like the standard Empire's. SLX share the same sole, but have a lighter leather design. Not much in it really. Have owned both standard Empire's and now have a pair of SLX's. Both very comfy.

SigmaSport.

Fantastic customer service.
I bought my Wahoo Kickr off them earlier this week. The lady who handles their websales email is brilliant, she sorted out a minor issue within 15mins of order going through and I got it within 2 days.

Today I got an email directly from her saying that they knew I had ordered the Kickr at RRP this week and they are taking 20% off it on Boxing Day.... so here is a £200 voucher because it's a bit unfair on you.

Very happy indeed! £200 of more stuff I can buy without having my balls chopped off by the Mrs. I just like that it doesn't even seem like they are trying to keep customer happy, it's just normal to them and what they do.

Second time I used Sigma Sport and seriously is the best customer experience I have ever seen from a web seller at other end of the country :)

That's awesome :)

John Lewis/Waitrose will do similar but the onus is on you the customer to query if an item is reduced shortly after buying, rather than willingly handing back the difference.

Yeah, Wiggle done it for me before but I had to query them and wait a couple days for them to accept it and refund me the difference which was like £12.
So the fact they just messaged me 3 days before the offer starts and it's for a whack at £200, really did surprise me.

It's a nice shop too.. full of expensive goodies... about 3 miles away :)

My experience with Wiggle was different to yours.. They made me order another pair of shoes and then send the originals back for a small saving. Surely would have cost them more in posting/shipping than just refunding difference...

Well depending on what direction you cycle you could cycle at double that speed :p:p

I was topping out my gears with mild effort with a coastal tailwind earlier! Much preferred to the journey out.

I did barter with Wiggle when I bought my Elemnt as they wouldn't apply my platinum discount on top of a price match with funnily enough Sigma Sport (or perhaps PBK). I mentioned the same % discount with the other retailer but my preference was to order with them.

Eventually they folded citing my 'repeat valued custom', had bought a fair bit in the weeks prior.

Just realised that the new BC performance director is a guy that regularly rides out with our club, good bloke, good luck to him!

Not sure ill be going out today. Might get blown off the face of the earth.

A look at the weather suggests its going to be like this until Tuesday. :(

Nice jaunt against a mild wind to Beachy Head this morning, up Beachy Head fine... On top and trying to descend pushing 12-14mph at 180bpm... Brutal. I had to keep grabbing my front end back from the wind... glad I didn't have deep sections.

Festive 500 Ride 1 complete 333km to go. Wind was a bit potent today but generally a nice day down here. Dry and mildly warm at least.

Big day for me. 128km with 3300m of climbing including the aptly named "Valley of the Tears".

A combination of headwind up the climb and not eating enough meant I was bonking a bit so it turned into a bit of a grind even on a 34-28!:o

I had my most emotional wind experience on the way up from East Dean to Beachy Head - never known wind like it.

Was literally talking to a customer about that climb on Friday. Sounds brutal and anywhere on the island seems to be a cat 3/2(on strava)!

Heh yup it's brutal round these parts but I wanted to check it out as they recently resurfaced... So nice now... despite not really being able to utiliise the surface as the wind wanted me to ride on the grass!
