For commuting I'd stick to clinchers. For a lot of other stuff, tubs are awesome from what I hear (no personal experience).

I was looking on the OcUK club data and noticed Richard Bower did a 3 hour indoor Swift ride
You could apply that to anything though.
Why have a garmin? If you're only riding for enjoyment speed/distance numbers make no difference either.
Why even bother with a carbon bike, nice wheels, modern groupset, etc?
Max power = 1900W. Yeh I think you're meter and data is a bit wrong. Sorry!
My point is this : 300w indoors is completely different to 300w outdoors, in terms of speed and therefore distance covered.
It's perfect to ride to intensity indoors but speed, distance and climbing will be significantly higher due to the fact there is no air resistance, wind and real rolling resistance. These metrics shouldn't be included in a riders overall stats.
My other observation is that some riders in the Zwift community appear to have power to weight stats which are significantly higher than the top Pro's.
Wrong data should be kept private to the individual.
Is a Garmin 810 still worth a purchase at £70 or is it just too old to bother with now? TBH there is nothing really wrong with my Edge 200 but having that on the bars for my route and my Fenix 3 for HR and barometric altimeter is a bit of a chore.
Any suggestions for reasonable waterproofs for my legs? On my long ride in May I'll be wearing bib shorts all the way, but given British weather wouldn't mind something breathable, light, thin, waterproof, and of course cheap, to go over the top just in case. Given the long distances involved I really don't want boil in the bag, and I guess I might just have to contend with getting wet. Really keen to avoid kit being wet when getting back into it though.
Naturally such a product doesn't exist, but within reason cost doesn't really matter.
I'm on Michelin Pro Endurance v2's - they've done around 1200 miles and they look really smoothed off now - you run the same don't you - how many miles would you say they usually do before they're toast?
/oops - quoted FT instead of BennyC.
