Save yourself £15 and just get the £3 Lifeline CO2 valve, works perfectly fine.
£15 over what please?
Yep, definitely do a dry run at home. You don't want to find out your tyre levers are crap at the point of actually needing them.
Which Rudy are those if you don't mind me asking? Got a link?
*BANG*!Could use it to fill up air at a petrol station I guess![]()
Thanks, bit pricey! Ideally I'm looking for a cheaper option than buying some Radarlock or Jawbreakers lol
Those Park Tool levers are awesome! I broke probably 6 or 8 before I started using them a year or so ago and have only broken 1. Still have tight tyre issues on my Continentals, had them with Mitchelins too and the Schwabe's on the mrs'. On 3-4 different makes of rims too so I consider it normal now! When people talk about being able to refit a clincher without levers I laugh (inwardly!) as there's no way I can even comprehend being able to do that with any of mine!I managed in the end but it was a catalyst for me to buy those sturdy Park Tools ones for 50p or whatever. Even with those though, my tyres are a total pain.
Plan on popping into central London on Sunday to watch the London-Surrey Classic, anyone else doing the same?
Might try and catch the depart at St. James' park but don't really have any idea on the best place for spectating!
Anyone recommendations for those who've been before?
Ouch, damn & utterly gutted for your bike!
Hope they throw the rule book at him/her - if anything you should get more 'support' being a cyclist from police on the continent than you get over here. Then again, you're a brit on holiday so they may even side with the local! One thing you can be sure of with continental police is their inconsistencies - at least over here you can guess what they're going to do (path of least resistance/paperwork).
Hope it's all sorted easily and painlessly. At least with a company like Bikmo they should have experience of similar incidents/claims.
Report! Got it on camera? Local authorities like to make examples of those kinda guys (who are usually contract drivers rather than council employees).
I'm tempted though you get a better view of the race from TV aha. I think last year I caught some of it watching the big screen in Kingston and saw them fly over Kingston Bridge. Probably best to find an area with a big screen.
Been very happy with my 1 and only Lezyne light (Macro Duo) and would happily use a Deca Drive too! Fairly sure I've seen club guys with them and they're pretty well regarded.Lezyne have a stand at the Cycle Show for the Ride100. Can get a Deca Drive for £85. Quite tempted...
Good to hear Bikmo are nice and efficient, hopefully with it going through so quick it means they have all the info they need from the other party/police & hope the Police process it correctly!Although I'm over the initial anger/shock, I think I would still push for charges if possible because frankly the bloke is very lucky he scrubbed off enough speed to only leave me with minor injuries.
Bikmo are processing my claim now and will look to reclaim the costs from his insurance if their underwriters approve it. I can't fault how efficient they have been in the whole process. It's only taken 4 days to get the claim pulled together and submitted and they say a decision is due in 48 hours.
anyone know if france and belgium are still banning disc brakes for large sportives?
Looking at Paris-Roubaix and Flanders again. I want do use my disc bike.
