Only went and done Streatley hill tonight didn't I!? :D

Well chuffed with myself. A slow 11 minutes (although 3 minutes of that was taking photos and texting Ben and my boss as I didn't realise I'd stopped before the end of the segment, not making excuses as 8 minutes is still slow! :p). Was going so slow at one point my Bolt kept auto pausing haha

Then raced the sun set home as I had no lights, genuinely put a lot in to tonight's ride, kind of surprised it's only 16.9mph average, bolt said 17.1 :p

Yay!!

Classic Strava stealing mph tbh. Good work :)

Thanks for reminding me why Pro4s are awesome ;)

So I've managed to lose 6kg in May, I'd suggest mostly down to eating less rather than cycling more. I would love to lose a similar amount in June but, can't see it with my exams.

Anyone got any recommendations for a polished metal (alloy, presumably) seatclamp with no bits that will rust? I'm looking for personal experience here if at all possible as I can find any number of seatclamps but none that I can be sure don't have any bits that will rust. My single speed commuter has umpteen rusty fittings after 14 months of use and I'm looking at replacing various bits, and most can be found easily enough, but a seatclamp with stainless bolts etc. is eluding me.

Great effort, I need to shift at least 10kg, but my time away with work keeps making my cycling time so broken up. That and travel is a bitch for eating.

Thomson? Salsa? Hope?

Nonsense! Plenty of tyres have "bead to bead" protection, and not just the absurdly heavy duty tyres like schwalbe marathon plus and the like. Michelin Pro 4 Endurance 2 have tread and sidewall protection, and very good rolling resistance.
Can only talk from my experience, the 'bead to bead' on Pro4's hasn't stopped me getting sidewall cuts through them so I'd call their advertising kinda hogwash! ;)

So what would be your personal preference; the 4-Seasons or the Pro 4's. I ask because you're not the first person to compare the two to me :)
4 Seasons have more grip but softer compound so cut up more easily. Used to be my winter 'go-to' tyre but quite expensive at £30/35 a piece. I've 'replaced' them with Specialized Roubaix Pro after a new bike came with them and the wet & winter grip is comparable for almost half the money.

Pro4's used to be one of the best bang for buck, especially as a 'do it all' tyre. Hard wearing, good grip rain or shine. Although the price of them does seem to be creeping up gradually, the V1's could be had for £22-25, the V2's for £26-27 and now the Power (V3!) are £29-31. There's many cheaper alternatives, think several here use Vittorias and like them?

Always cheaper to buy whole chainset, than just rings. Ultegra is a good choice but you don't lose much by going for the current 105 which will work out quite a bit cheaper. Less than 200g weight difference between them!

Your small ring does look worn, but not excessively so. Chainring teeth tend to go more 'pointy' or 'shark fin' shaped when worn. Can you identify the tooth/area that is 'grabbing'/sucking the chain? It could have a damaged surface which is causing it. You could just file it down a little or smooth the surface in some way.

It feels like if I went 105 I'd be downgrading my bike aha. I've already gone down to 105 cassette from previously full Ultegra.

I'm also part considering these: https://absoluteblack.cc/chainrings.html

Horrendous creak coming from my cranks/bottom bracket yesterday, took the left crank arm off and retightened, still there, going to take it all apart tonight and give it a good greasing. First TT tomorrow night so got to get my bike all put back together, and try and work out how to use this Di2 bluetooth transmitter.

Has anyone ever seen any neon/fluo yellow brake/gear cable sets?
I've seen them on things like BMX's but never for sale. Jagwire do Yellow and Green (+many other colours) but they're not fluo/bright. Had a look around for some maybe being sold as 'Tinkoff/Saxo' but also drew a blank. I know Clarks used to do lots of different colours, more than Jagwire, but I can't see many places online with the same number of colour options I recall. Not sure where I saw them, Halfords maybe?

Yeah, no luck unfortunately with my extensive searching, put paid to my new colour scheme I had in mind for the Ridley.
