Ouchie! Flag it? Where abouts (link)?
Haha I actually only thought of it because I saw a hottie on her bike this morning and thought of you and your stalker ways.Lol that's a bit harsh! Just because I was crushing on a nice girl on an even nicer bike!?
No.
That loop round my house would suck with the chicanes in it, Stewart Avenue is busy a lot of the time so you have to keep giving way. I think i tried using that as a loop one winter but got fed up of having to stop.
Need to be careful there though if you've started heading out to specifically chase segments - you'll be in danger of going full Meffen.
I got totally drowned on my ride around the same time. Had three climbs and as i got to the top of each one i got hit by torrential downpours, like clockwork. I was basically descending down rivers. I thought about sacking it when it first got really heavy, but i was so wet after 5mins i figured what difference would it make if i just stayed out? Looking crap for saturday morning as well now too.
There is no indexing on the front to speak of, though it could be you've screwed the outer limit screw in too tight so now it can't get up to the big ring. Loosen it off and see whether it's any better.Really struggling to get back into the big ring. I played around with the limit screws as the chain kept jumping to the small ring. I think that was more likely to.do with the indexing on the back.
Should I look to index the front?
I was heading to my Gran's down the hill so thought I'd try it as I never go up that way. I also thought I'd have a shot at raking it off Ross.
Weather is pish, isn't usually this bad in July is it?
Tomorrow to be meh, was thinking about the Bundy 200 on Sunday but I'll swerve that and go a pedal with Cat instead.
For you starting back again I don't think the 9.30 bunch is a thing anymore as a lot of them moved up to the 10am bunch??
That's not even required - easy to get past them I've seen the chatters in a massive two abreast peloton... maybe 15 pairs long in Richmond Park cruising at about 12mph. Pretty ridiculous to be in a group so big with the traffic about really.. should at least split up a tad!Need to find some absolute beast and put him in white shorts and a helmet with a visor on a bike with clip on TT bars and have him follow them round and destroy them on every climb.
Only spotted one rider before and he looked very similar to Matt on a nice grey Canyon. Though he was cutting up traffic and failing to give way at the roundabout.i've never seen anyone who wasnt a massive tryhard wearing a GCN jersey, except the actual GCN guys, who're dead nice.
There is indexing in the front? If it's not shifting even with the limit screws set correctly, you need more cable tension.
This. Pull it taught, real taught
Make sure your barrel adjuster is fully screwed in and not extended out. And that you're also feeding the cable through the correct side of the FD bolt.
Yup, get Di2No need for a barrel adjuster on the front. Set your low limit screw all the way in (mech as close to the frame as possible) then pull the cable as taut as possible, making sure it goes the correct side of the bolt as above. Once it's screwed down, set the low limit screw which will add any extra tension needed to the cable and then set the high limit. I always set the low limit screw so the mech is a mm below the point where it rubs in the low-low combination, the high limit screw usually needs to be set a touch further out than the point where it doesn't rub in the high-high for crisp shifting though. Others might have better approaches.
this.....Yup, get Di2
