I imagine these are going to be very warm come the proper chilly weather, plus they've got a DWR finish. Can't complain for the money.
Pretty impressed by the thermals. Sunday was probably too warm to wear them, but I was impressed. Kept the road spray off and the legs toasty! Good fit, comfortable, not bad for £45.
I had just logged in ready to post this! HahApparently this thread is nothing without @Roady . No posts since Saturday!
Anyone have any recommendations for cheapish SPD CX type shoes?
Cheers, decided to go for some northwaves in the end
I haven't been doing much riding lately but I have swapped over to my winter bike recently for the riding that I have been doing. While I didn't get the problem last year almost straight away I'm getting pain in my right knee. Last night while riding it I noticed that my foot appears to be way too far forward (or my knee too far back depending on how you want to look at it). I'll have a look at saddle position when I get home but I tend to have my saddles set quite far forward anyway. A change to cleat position is another option but that would throw out my setup for the other bike. This isn't really an issue as I could just buy another pair of SPD shoes.
Is there anything else I can do though? I was wondering if a slight change to crank length (currently 172.5 IIRC) would help? A swap to 170 maybe?
I'm pretty poor when it comes to stretches (or to put it another way I don't do any!) but I only get this on my Raleigh. Looking last night as I was riding my foot looks to be in front of my knee right from the 12 o'clock position all the way through to the 6 o'clock position so I'm way out in terms of bike fit.I get knee pain pretty much straight off if my quads/ITB are tight. It's taken me a while to bottom this out - messing with shoes/saddle/reach etc - but in the end it was just as simple as getting some stretches done.
