Robocain - Robocop 2 robot

Any chance of a photo of it all together so far? I dont mean 'attached' as is probably awkward to put together, but laying the parts next to each other how they are meant to be together so far if you catch my drift..... with something next to it to give us a read on its size.....

Please....

Just incredible stuff, would love it if you could cross post this over on Britmodeller , you'd have quite an audience there too ;)

Do the amount of awesome in this thread ever end?

Brilliant work and I second what Droolinggimp said, please :o:D

I will do that tomorrow, I need to have a layout of parts to make sure im on track for the 474mm tall I originally worked it out to be. Im worried my scale might be out.

Oh man that is really really good....very impressive.

I would say one thing though I don't like the large black part with all the Allen key cap heads sticking out its made out of wood?.

I understand it would be more work to do it out of Aluminum but I don't know just don't look right.

But any way really nice work there.

He's been making it for close to if not over a year so i say no he wont sell it.

7 months and I may sell it, but it'd only be for a lot.

got my tube through, 3.2mm aluminium, now cut to size and I had to remake a couple of the disks too as they looked wrong.

all together and straight, tight fit though

This is the 3rd atempt and took 2 hours, I didnt know how I was going to make it so just had to get stuck in! First take a solid bit of bar and turn a shoulder on the end, then the cone, then drill through the middle, then hold the shoulder and cut a slot one was with the slitting saw, then (with plenty of lube) turn 90 degrees and carefully cut the last slot.

so thin at the end, very delicate

now make 5 more exactly the same! they took about 20 mins each, easy when you know how!

I've followed this project since you started.

I cannot contain my kudos any longer.

When you started the project I thought it'd just be an interesting journey watching you create this model and it'd be impressive at the end. Expecting a fantastic final product but nothing overly special.

I was wrong. Every single piece that you make is meticulous, it's a work of art and really amazing to see it all progressing. Each piece and the coming of it all together is really incredible. The final product is going to be (and i mean this not in the "interweb omfg" sense but the true sense of the word;,) epic.

You truely have amazing skill, talent and patience. Bravo. :)
