Must be the one i pictured on the last page thats in the starting sequence of the new show. Looks pretty freaky.

Hmm, could be interesting. Just not sure if that's legitimate considering dumping into the pit is meant to be an elimination. Then again there was that robot a lot of years back that had a steel web around it that made it too wide to fit into the pit, and that was ok with the producers, was meant to be an anti Razer device iirc.

It's scored on damage, control, and aggression.

Against PP3D, the first big hit disabled both robots. Before then Cherub had been aggressive and shown good control and so likely won on both. PP3D did a bit more damage and likely won that, but assuming they're equally scored that won't be enough.

Against Behemoth, Cherub was again the more aggressive and controlled, and got Behemoth into trouble in the CPZ which likely did a fair amount of damage. It probably won on all three.
 
The guy just storming off was comedy gold :D

It's only for fun at the end of the day. No need to make yourself look an idiot. Any regular guy would be happy for the kids.
 
Is anybody going to the Manchester show end of April for the first extremerobots.co.uk tour ? Just read that a lot of the RW contestants will be there including Eruption, Shockwave, Cherub etc. They have also built a brand new arena for this year and it looks awesome. Can't wait as we missed out last year.
 
meh, just watched the first two episodes. Same rubish format as last time. and to many jokey bots that cant deal any damage.

probably do what i did last year and watch each episode in about 10 minutes.
 
Really enjoyed the first episode, enjoyed the second four other reasons.

The battle with behemoth and cherub was hilarious. Decision was correct. Behemoth were simply arrogant and paid the price. I never liked the team or the robot. It's not driven well and always falls backwards when flipping.

Both winners were the right winners. But I do really like the drum weapons. They Chew into others. And don't have the kick of the spinners.

Pp3d. No point having that power. It's like having a bicycle wheel with one spoke.

Also found the expensive robot funny. Too advanced to be fixed by normal tools! :p

Terrorhurtz not using the axe. Lol!

Feel that spinners and flippers work the best

If he was team captain then surely he should have final say on what weapon to use? He seemed to blame his team on it all.
 
^^^ not sure if their weapon choice / gripper thing failed because it was a generally poor design that hadn't been tested (common theme there) or if something had failed with it during the round...?

Hobgoblin did more damage to itself it seems, I feel a little for all the sponsors they had got.

This season could be the year of the flipper :)

I wonder if battle bots is back on, I loved Minotaur and Tombstone. Now those bots can really smash each other up...!
 
I never liked Behmoth, everytime I see it I can't help but think it's just over sized Tonka toy.

Does anyone know if Razer is going to make an appearance this season?
 
is there more episodes this season? im sure it was on longer back in the good old days?

I could see that guy was not impressed at the end and then then he stormed off i LOLed. pretty sad doing that in front of some kids, glad they beat them now.
 
Far bigger budgets and sponsorship is allowed to be displayed which helps considerably.

Certain teams are also allowed to exceed the safety limits if they can show that they are competent. Bronco's flipper and Tombstone's blade are both examples of this.
