So, blck adjustments, what effect do they have on PCIE devices etc?

Just worried about impact on my M.2 SSD.

And I remember reading somewhere that past a certain clock it defaults to PCIE 2 - or maybe that was another board?

Think it's 105 and it messes with M.2 and other things drop to gen 2.

Thats correct. Apparently though forcing gen 1 speeds has no impact on GPU. Cannot comment on m.2 drives

Raising the Blck (to 116) has had no negative impact on my m.2 (Gen 2) drive, in fact it has improved it. I think you just need to manually select the Gen in the BIOS to make it run at that.
My GPU has definitely not been negatively impacted by Blck. It is only since running at a higher Blck that I have discovered my 1080 boosts itself to 1999MHz without any user OC applied.
My RAM speed and timings have not been affected by Blck, it was only by raising Blck I could get higher than 2999MHz.
I'm running 3.9GHz on my CPU.

Thanks for the link! Think my brain hurts a little!

as for the board - it was almost too easy. No issues getting everything isntalled. Well apart from windows activation, but got that sorted.

Though, what the hell, let's just select one of the DOCP profiles (DOCP 1 or something which has 125 block), nad hey presto, here I am in windows with 3000Mhz memory!

Didn't have to fiddle with a damn thing!

All I know about P states is the name. They remain an esoteric mystery to me. I'm not sure what arcane rite you have to do to have any knowledge of them. Ask not of P states, tell not of P states.

Something has to be wrong here...

Passed 35 min of aida64 ram stress.

With that currently running 4ghz with 1.44v with pstates enabled....

All seems too easy.

Ok, this hasn't passed extensive stress testing yet, but so far this has been a doddle where I fiddled endlessly with the prime and never got anywhere...

Hit 20 min in occt linpack now.

Temps haven't hit 60...

4ghz cpu, not unreasonable voltages, 3000mhz ram, great temperatures....

Something doesn't feel right!

So I pass an hour occt, aida64 memory stress for a while and temps hit a max of 61c.

Have found one flaw - custom pstates reset when you restart pc :/

Cinebench scores seem bit lower than expected - 1700 without the cinebench cheat.

Memory latency much improved with prime pro was 96 at 2400 with tighter timings, and get 83 now.

What BIOS are you on? 1107 looks ok, I dont overclock so dont know how it is for that though.
