Edit: For some reason, some how, it's all good now. I think it was a power plan and/or windows update issue.

Just flashed the new beta BIOS and CPU fan is stuck @100%

Edit: Set CPU fans to DC and its OK now.
RAM OC needs more volts with this BIOS as the voltage fluctuates more.

For me, this BIOS is slower than 7403 and my RAM OC is not stable so have to use higher timings. Maybe the next one will be better.

I just used flash back to return to 7403, testing it now but looks to be back and ok.

Installed the latest 7601 released yesterday (may also have something to do with RDR2 reading Reddit), I've been slack with the if it isn't broke don't update and had to install 5 different versions to get it upto date as I was still running the bios from Jan 2018. Will see how it goes the next few days.

Just a heads up, support for this board is dwindling, hard. Less info coming to the comunnity and they've removed it from the ROG Crosshair subforum: https://rog.asus.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?292-Crosshair-VII-amp-VIII-Motherboards-(X470-amp-X570).

I expect we'll get an AGESA 1.0.0.4 but doubt much more. I wouldn't assume that this board will support Zen3 next year.

Not updated my bios for a while. Suspect next upgrade I will relegate it to my plex box and get a new board.

I'm not on the latest BIOS either, just waiting for (a stable) 1.0.0.4 to come along, likely December now but might get a beta before.

Great to know it's coming. It's one of the few things holding me off nabbing a 3 series processor.

I stuck a 3600X in mine yesterday on latest bios on Asus site and had no problems, nice stepup from my 1700.
