Rome 2 : Total War

It specifically says about the greek culture pack on the Amazon page for Rome 2

I had the same issue. When I previously clicked on that link, there was no mention of the Preorder DLC.

This led to a frantic panic/check of my Amazon order email, which links to a version of Rome 2 that DOES mention the DLC.

Now when I click on the link again, it does indeed confirm the DLC.

Weird! Must be some kind of DLC attention blindness.

Amazon seems the cheapest at the moment. First class (so should arrive Tuesday aka release day) is free too it seems. Gone for that option personally. It's steamworks regardless where you get it from so it's all the same tbh. 30 minute download (80Mb infinity :D) when I wake up Tuesday (day off) or woke by postman with game in hand...

Probably a bunch of testers, hence the skewed stats.

Haven't pre-ordered this yet, but I'm sorely tempted to grab it. Can't decide whether to go for Amazon and have a nice old-skool hard copy, and risk missing out on playing it on day 1.

(that is, if my internet returns to life in time to preload it!)

All the developers login to steam to work on the game, So most of them will have 1+ hrs on the latest build. Same as the Internal testing its done in house but still runs through the steam client.

I have a few of the devs on my steam list and a fair few of the testers, I see them playing ROME TOTAL WARS II on my steam list everyday. Thats where the 29% will be from

Just bought Rome II (PC DVD). Can't believe this is the first game I've actually bought in 5 years. That's saying something. I don't have much time to play this, but can't wait for it to be delivered on Tuesday. Bought from the jungle place, opted for 1st class delivery. I have to have the hard copy not just the digital version, love the cover of the box and it looks good with my collection of all the other TW games on my shelf, (except Shogun 2).

Just a quick question, does anyone know what the pre-order sales figures are for this game both digital and DVD, must be huge going by the massive amount of content talked about and video reviews on the net.

If I enjoy this half as much as the pleasure I got from the first RTW then it will be money well spent. Now that it is preloaded I am starting to get a little eager for its release.

Even though I bought Shogun II and all of its DLC's / Expansions I could never really get into it. I really should not have bothered with the two expansions as I knew before that I was not enjoying the game, although I did hope that by doing so it would help to create new interest. I seem to prefer the zone of the war to be central to Europe and so I had little to like in Shogun. I vaguely remember feeling the same when the first Shogun game was released, but that changed after MTW followed on.

I do hope that it is as moddable and as extensively supported as MTW II has been. For some reason, maybe engine design etc, the games seemed to get less released mods etc, if the thread count is anything to go by over at TWC, as the series progressed..?

Total ****e.

It's nothing like Civ, not even the same ball-park.

+1, I love the Civ games but they're an entirely different genre, turn based strategy/management versus RTS.

Both games are awesome though and I tend to pre-order whenever either gets an update :D There's not Civ V TW in my mind, that'd be like Manchester City V Miami Dolphins, both play football.. but different types!

Pre-ordered. Not like I won't get my moneys worth when this is modded up, even if I don't like how they've done the 'vanilla' mode.

Although right now, it looks awesome! :D

Just ordered it to take advantage of the cost and the dlc pack - retail dvd version for £25.

Typical me waiting until the last minute, when I should have done this last week to get it for day of release, probably won't now, an extra day I will wait or two, since living in Ireland.

Local shops just costing it too high.
