Rooney - 2 B Sold

Who would lose more, Utd trying to force Rooney to go abroad or Rooney if he sits on the bench for 18 months? The Glazers would never be able to force a sale to City, it just wont happen (just look at the furore with Tevez and then Utd didnt even really have a choice, and never owned CT to start with - it would be 10 times worse if Rooney was to try it)

A sale to Chelsea or Arsenal for 1/4 of the cash would be far more palatable by everyone concerned.

What would be ten times worse if Rooney tried it? Going to City? You really think he gives a **** how much it would upset the united fans to make the switch to a club that will pay him more and will back up his own ambitions in the transfer market. It's not like he hasn't done it before.

He's already been tapped up.

His agent is a ****. I'm sure something is already in mind and I doubt it's abroad.

A sale for 1/4 of the cash to arsenal more palatable to you but not to the people who pay the wages and the bills. 50 million from city or 12 million from Arsenal. I know exactly where he will be heading because city will give him a signing on bonus as well.

My prediction is that he won't be moving anywhere this Jan transfer window. It's just everybody going a bit mental for some reason. Every player has a strange patch throughout their career.

Bear in mind also that for the few teams that could afford him, this Jan wouldn't be the time because he's cup tied for the Champion's League. That essentially leaves Man City and at the moment that's a step down for him. However of course, if they offered enough money I'd be more inclined to think he'd not stay above any superficial (fans?) wishes that he wouldn't go to a rival. However again, City are on the ascendency, and we all know Fergie doesn't sell to his rivals.

If things don't improve though he very possibly may leave this summer. Hernandez and Macheda are getting better. Berbatov finally is finding his boots.

It's vile pieces of filth like Rooney that have caused me to fall out of love with football. I'm ashamed to say I once respected this guy. I thought he was different.

The game is dead to me.

Because he can walk away in the summer for the cost of a year salary according to that independant article above and a small bit of compensation. I imagine that's going to create some worry at old trafford.

It would certainly prompt me to get him sold in january to city if they would stump up 50 million, even though it will be funnier if he pulled the 5 million stunt in the summer and took money from the highest bidder.

Yeah, it's half the reason why I despise internationals and most England matches. Never on one side are there so many people like that and yet I'm asked to support them blindly? No thanks.

Did you care when he did the same to Everton or the many times Manu flashed the cash to unsettle players at clubs they were doing well at.

When he left Everton why would anyone consider they had signed a loyal player. He'd kiss the badge at liverpool for 50 million and 200k per week. He'd claim like gerrard he only supported everton because he was forced to by family.

Its reported that he's upset but the lack of ambition the club have shown in the transfer market and how much funds are made available. he has a point to be honest.

Oh poor him he is badly done to NOT , For one UTD Squad isnt that bad its just their at the moment leaking goals which i think you will turn around, Your midfield has been like this last two summers.

Difference is Rooney himself not getting the goals atm. What annoys me is the UTD old players saying back him and him getting protected he has made all this mess himself so he has only himself to blame.

If fergie lets him go its no surprise but i doubt it will be this jan more likely to be summer imo

He left Everton for Man U to help his career rather than the money imo.

Rooney has built his image on playing football for the love of it. Suddenly, when things start going against him, he throws his toys out of the pram. He's brought all this carp upon himself. At the moment he's playing like a conference player.

He's on the road to self destruct. By the time he's 30, he'll be just another playing with an unfulfilled career.

Good riddance to him.

Unfulfilled career?

He has a champions league winners medal and two premiership titles.

Left Everton to further his career? No he got a new agent who will push and keep pushing for moves and money. He was quite happy at everton and his progress until he got in with stretford. He also couldn't take Moyes firm guidance and tellings off for his indiscipline.

Moving to Man City would be furthering his career, a new challenge and a heap more money for Stretford. Whether people want to aknowledge it or not with the kind of funds City have they will be a better team in due course, until something is done about the yanks.

People said Rooney was flattered by playing with foreigners after the world cup, but look at the team he carried last year. He probably wants to play with better players around him than fletcher and old players like giggs and scholes. He's looking to see how these players are being replaced and they are not.

He see's that as a lack of ambition. Or more likely he's agent is telling him the team isn't been improved and he should look elsewhere.

I've just grown so tired of footballers in general. The wages they get, the rising ticket prices for fans, everything is just so out of proportion in football and it doesn't look like changing any time soon. Rooney has brought all this mess on himself. If he's really asking for even higher wages and throwing his toys out of the pram, then he can move on. He's looking after his bank balance ahead of himself, his club, career and the fans. I have zero respect for the guy anymore. There must be a lot more to this story than the papers are speculating on.

His final achievements won't match his talents. Boozing, smoking and his general lifestyle choices will see to that!

Similar to the way Ronaldo carried him.

Prepare for the fastest nasty turn of fickle fans ever.. :p Gonna be halrious if once you've all vented about how **** he is it turns out it was all a rouse and he's staying put.
