AF: I've met with Wayne and he intimated to me that he wanted to leave.

AF: I've asked him to be professional. Chief exec has mass offer. It's still there.

AF: his injury - I've not had an argument with him. He got injured v Rangers. I spoke before Sunderland game, give him rest so he could play

For England, rediscover his form and kick on. After England he said he wasn't injured. I was disappointed as I know he was injured.

AF: we'e got to keep door open for him as he's such a good player.

AF: we've done nothing but help him since he came to this club so it's another mystery for us.
 
AF: this is one of the most successful clubs in the world, we don't understand it. We can speculate. It won't matter... Player is adamant that he wants to leave..

I can only really see him going to Madrid tbh, and even then the only way Madrid would buy him is probably part exchanges + cash.

Surely he won't go to City......surely? :p
 
Wow. I've never seen a player decide they want to go, just like that. Either he's had a massive offer made to him under the table, or his head isn't on right.
 
Madrid dont want him, Barca dont need him. Where else is he going to go?
The vast majority of United fans are going to be even more annoyed then they are now, when this is over.
 
Actually felt a bit sorry for Ferguson there, only heard one side of the story but Rooney is coming out of the last few weeks absolutely atrociously. He can't move to anywhere else in England surely? If he moved to City it would be outrageous, I suppose Chelsea would take him with an ageing Drogba, but Spain seems likely, get the feeling he's going to get out for a few years
 
Could this push SAF into closer retirement? Surely if he goes, Glazers have to realise they need to spend big, big money?

Also, if he goes overseas....hes screwed surely - he can barely speak English, let alone spanish/italian or something!
 
As much as I like Rooney as a United fan. As far as Im concerned he ca get lost now. I honestly don't understand his reason for wanting to leave?

If its to go abroad because of the press then fair enough. An easier option would have been to stop ******** prostitutes. At lest be man enough to stand up to your own mistakes.
