No point anyone trying to sign Ronaldo then he's only got the 54 goals this season as oppose to his 60 last.... Oh and don't even get me started on that Messi fella; 73 goals last season and only 60 this? If ever there's a player on the decline its him!!!1111

:o

Has anyone else got the feeling from Rooney that he thinks he is much more important and a much better player than he actually is. He has looked a little sluggish for a while now but hasn't adapted his game to it. When he has played against teams that don't give a lot of time on the ball or close him down he looks poor. Takes too many touches and turns into trouble far too regularly which I why I was hoping we were not trying to make him a central midfielder.

If he is played in the right position and sorts out his fitness he is brilliant. If he doesn't then get rid.

Theoretically if we buy a world class central midfielder then he could be pushed up front with RvP and Kagawa could tuck in behind and we would have a deadly attack. It all depends how Moyes wants us to setup and who he buys. Fergie did love to misuse players out of position and drop them for sustained periods with no apparent reason so its hard to say at the moment.

He should be part of a forward three.

Fergie has messed him around this season, I would be annoyed as well in his position.

If there is one thing we will probably see from Moyes, he wont mess around leaving quality players on the bench for no good reason while vastly inferior players are picked game after game in the place.

Actually now that i've thought about that.....................

He didn't get rid of Eto'o straight away though did he? He kept Eto'o around for a season didn't he? Either way, he was a player on the decline.

I can name Manchester United players not in the decline, Samba Nev for example.

I don't really understand what point you're trying to make as per, and find myself agreeing with DM.

I don't know if a player can be in decline in his second best season when he has subsequently a better season afterwards but anyway.

My point was that people were saying Moyes won't come in and rock the boat.

Pep came in and capsized the flotilla. Stamped his own brand and his own team despite being new to management and being inexperienced. If Moyes is going to simply toe the line:/

It's probably just him doing the same toys/pram routine that got him a more lucrative contract last time, he does strike me as the big headed "I deserve more money than everybody else" type.

Aw poor Rooney, all that stick because he may or may not have changed his profile.

Not because you're ****ing over the club.

really never gave a **** about his bio being changed, its his attitude on the pitch that has stunk too many times this season (don't get me wrong, there are times where the whole team haven't put the effort in - but WR should lead by example and he hasn't on a number of occasions, which imo just isn't good enough).

Would that be you as well or are you Sheff Wed this week?

smeansons over! We stayed up! Milddlesborough were poop last game.

I like ronaldo, i think he's great but don't see him coming back to manchester this summer, a lot of united fans seem to think he will / would come back.

He' scored and said he was stating in his selebration.

its just cute, like ehwn loads of the manchester united posters on here wansted carrick to be sold and now loves him, some of us always rated him.

he should have pkayed better this seasnon to show he deserved more money if thats what hes after. I don't think its that though. i don't really know what it is though. some players just want new challenges, or so darren fletcher always ******* says on fm! haha

I don't think that's true re Carrick, being up for PFA POTY has just earnt him a reprieve, just you wait if he has a couple of iffy games next season the likes of Shami will be back criticising him at every possible opportunity like before :o

Carrick has looked favourable, but only because he's playing next to Jones, Cleverly and Giggs in centre midfield. You'd struggle to look bad next to that lot.

He's just played a bit better than last season. Same old player though.

Indeed, he's the best of a horrific bunch.

Carrick has his strengths, he can be part of a great midfield, he's just suffering from beign asked to do things he can't do. He's not a great defensive midfielder and he vanishes against teams that press him.
