Rumours about Hodgson going unsurprising given that two of #LFC's senior players are purportedly absolutely fed up with him

Paul Tomkins

And no, one of the players mentioned isn't Daniel Agger (though I doubt he's happy)

No smoke without fire? Seems we still maybe in for some fun and games.

Really? You've asked every player that's played under Roy that?

And lets get a little bit of perspective here; it's a rumour that 1 or 2 players are unhappy with Roy's methods.

Nope, not every single one, yet

Maybe it's a rumour, but I think you'd agree that precisely 0 players are giving 100% effort at the minute in matches, Torres especially looks disenchanted but the team as a whole don't seem like they're exactly ready to die for the cause. Something appears to be wrong on a rather large scale

No I wouldn't agree. The team as a whole and individual players aren't playing well but there isn't a noticable lack of effort.

Regarding Torres specifically; he doesn't look happy but he has been pulling his weight. Just like in previous seasons, he tracks back and looks to close down defenders whenever he can. The difference this season is that he's doing it on his own because the other 9 outfield players are sitting off the oppo, as per Hodgson's instructions.

And even if you do believe that the players aren't pulling their weight; it's Hodgson's job to get them to do so.

When asked about what he thinks about the interest from UTD on Torres, he said "I think I'd have to say we'd cross that bridge when we come to it."

Just keep digging your hole Roy, that's a good boy.

EDIT-

Pellegrini representative confirms contacts with Liverpool

Wednesday October 20, 2010

Santiago, Manuel Pellegrini is in negotiations to direct the ailing Liverpool, announced today the representative of the strategist, Jesus Martinez.

"We had some contacts, but as the club is in the process of change, and no one knows who is boss, no progress on the topic," Martinez revealed.

The choice of the former coach of Real Madrid, came about because of the poor performance of the England team, now led by Roy Hodgson.

Martinez added that the possibility of commanding technically Liverpool Chilean appeals more to other offers from the last time, junior teams and tradition.

"Pellegrini has had offers from clubs in Italy, but initially wanted to wait a bit to some better option," said the representative.

"And Liverpool is a club that Manuel would like to address," he said.

Pellegrini's agent claims are irrelevant as I've been told that Rijkaard will, without question, succeed Hodgson at #LFC in next five days.

"It will still be a strong team we put out there and I think it's a chance for some players who have been on the fringes, like David Ngog and others like Ryan Babel who has had very few chances," the 63-year-old Reds boss stated.

I'm pretty certain as an Arsenal fan the dutchman has had a few chances?

Rijkaard would be a mistake in my eyes.

Hodgson seems to be cracking if reports are to be believed and I guess he has to go if it's true. I would personally have given him 6 months like he had at Fulham, but it seems like it won't happen. The season is a write-off already, who honestly cares now?

Pellegrini might get us playing well so who knows.

Too many damned chances imo.
