Hodgson: "Judge me after 10 games" 8 down 2 to go Roy..He's out of his depth and needs to go. I'm all for getting behind the manager and club, always have done but if all these reports on the moral and players attitudes are right, it's only a matter of time. Were going to get thumped tonite, not sure if i can bring myself to watch it.
Rafa should never of left..it was indeed a sad day for every non-short sighted red :(

The situation reminds me of Tottenham two seasons ago. Nothing was going to change until the manager moved on.

Rather have Pellegrini if reports are true suppose we will see how tonight game goes but im guessing badly since silly roy rested torres, gerrard, merilies(sp ano)

Whilst i know their not in form their still key players for us regardless of form. Babel has had plenty of chances, Im all for players getting chances for that reason i hope Kelly starts tonight.

Pellegrini was awesome at Villareal, used to love watching them

i would take him over Rijkaard . He did rather well Villareal and think that there is question mark over Rijkaard interms of, can he do well with average players. Any manger can win with barca or a team with the quality barca have.

Not sure about Rijkaard as popular opinion was that Ten Cate did all the work behind him at Barca and as mentioned above most managers can win things with a team like Barca.

Big question is can we afford to wait for Roy to get things right (if he's even capable!)?

Lot of talk in the papers today about multiple Liverpool players wanting out now and Reina's one of them. If anyone wanted proof that the players are unhappy with Roy it's players like Agger and Reina kicking off. They were the first two to commit themselves to the club in the summer and now both want out. Clown shoes must be sacked ASAP before he completely destroys the club

Hardly suprising when Roy comes in and asks one of the best Goalkeepers in the Premiership and the world to change his goalkeeping style.

When Hodgson was at Fulham I was always impressed with the way he talks and he started with us in the same way, however he's gradually become incredibly arrogant and disrespectful in every interview he gives.

He's recently given an interview to say he didn't deserve the sack from Blackburn and another which mocked Right Guard for getting the sack from Galatasary.

If Benitez was as far up his own ass as Hodgson is he would've been slaughtered by the media and opposing fans yet Roy's still a media darling :o

As good as he thinks he is? Nope
Successful career? Nope
Humble man? Nope

Any more myths that need knocking on their head?

Just a sign of the pressure he's under I think. Can't cope with it.

Some places are saying this is one of the reasons why...

"Players are aghast that Hodgson has put a 68-yearold, Mike Kelly, in charge of first-team coaching. Kelly, a former keeper with Wimbledon, Birmingham and QPR from 1958 and 1976, even takes Reina through his routines, to the Spaniard's disquiet."

I must admit, if I was Reina, one of the top goalkeepers in the world, I'd be a little miffed at being "coached" by a 68 year old who has barely even done any coaching for the majority of the last 20 years. As far as I can see the guy got his coaching badges in 1965 and didnt coach at all between 1994 and 2007. People are saying that Dalglish is too out of touch with modern football, but theres a coach who, apparently, didnt work in the game for 13 years until 3 years ago. Dont want to slander the guy, maybe he is awesome, but I could certainly understand why Reina might look at the guy "teaching" him and think wtf??

Mike Kelly helped Schwarzer a hell of a lot when he was with us, same with Stockdale.

He was also Fulham's assistant manager too, and worked with England and then Hodgson at international level again too.

No offense to Schwarzer or Stockdale, but I dont consider them at the same level as Reina.

I know he worked with England (for 6 years until 1990, so thats 20 years ago) and with Hodgson at Switerland (until 1994, so thats 16 years ago), I cant find anything about what he has done between 1994 and 2007 though, any ideas?

No, I know - but he is still a good coach. IIRC a few coaches left with Rafa, so I guess he wanted some personal coaches in.

And I'm not 100%, but I think we got him from Middlesbrough or something, because Schwarzer joined us because of Mike Kelly's influence. I'm not sure if all the stuff coming out into the press is true anyway, as Hodgson/similar would be a prime target for anything regardless.
