Roy Hodgeson

Meanwhile, Lucas in a more traditional Midfield role for Brazil has put in two MOTM performances and made some amazing 60 yard+ passes, right to the players feet.
A good ITK said though that if Roy is here in Jan, then Lucas is off because he doesn't rate him. Thats it Roy, get rid of Lucas (who would cost us nothing more to keep) and buy Poulsen for some stupid fee.
Genius!

Need to remember that a journalist linked Poulsen to us back in 2009 so I think it's unfair to blame Hodgson for buying and playing him when it's obvious that Rafa's still making all the decisions ;)

Joking aside, if Hodgson stays I think we'll see Agger, Babel and Lucas shown the door in January and Torres and Jovanovic handing in transfer requests.

So, now we have new owners (soon, whoever they maybe) is it right we keep Hodgson?

I never saw him as a long term manager and always believed if a sale was on the cards we should have had Dalglish as a caretaker manager. I’m just not sure Hodgson has the ability in the transfer market at the level we require to make the signings needed to compete.

I don't doubt he's a great guy and a great manager, but can he make the right purchases? I'm not bowled over by the players that have come in over the summer.

I think we should give him at least a month. If by then he can't turn things around then we need to have a new manager in place before the transfer window.

More talk of how great he is and how it would be a sad day for football if one of the best English managers is sacked :o

I wonder if he'd have his head so far up his own backside if he didn't win the LMA manager award last season? Every interview's he's giving now is about how great he is rather than how poor we're doing on the pitch and how he wants to work hard to improve things.

Every interview he does, has something in it which makes me cringe. It's a bit like a senile old granddad talking about 'coloured people'.

Anyone remember the good days, the days where even when we lost (sometimes badly) it was down to a bad piece of defending from a set piece or whatever ?
Those days when we actually didnt get over-run all the time?
Who was the guy in charge back then? i wonder what happened to him :(

At the end of the day, some managers just dont fit some clubs, he is one of those managers.

Better than him have been sacked for less at smaller clubs, he should remember that.
