RRS takes out Bikers in NYC!

I would have done the same. At the end I would have ran them all over in reverse and rammed my way out. Thought the guy in the car was very calm and collected considering. Don't know if he knew the area or not (guessing not as he gets caught up in traffic) but I would have been finding my way to police as quick as I could!

Need to see the start though to get a better idea of what went on.

I guess a lot of the bikers wouldn't have seen the initial incident, and probably just saw the RR plough through some bikes and speed off. It all starts making more sense then.

My understanding of what happened, from reading some bike forums:

Lots of bikes were in a large convoy
RRS cuts in to the group, splitting the group up
Lead bikes slow down to allow trailing bikes to catch up and pass RRS
RRS runs bike down

They weren't brake testing the RRS

When the video started, before the hassle started, it looked like the bikers essentially stopped an entire highway - If that was for no reason other than letting their mates catch up then it's silly behaviour in anyone's book - albeit not violent.

What happened next - I'm not too sure.

as far i can see, RRS have not done anything wrong. he may tried to move to slow lane but got held up in middle of bike group accidently. and A biker got annoyed so stopped quickly in front of RRS.

if i was in a RRS with my wife and 5 yo child, about to VS 100 bikers. sorry i'm outta of here. RSS driver have not done anything wrong.

Looks like the riders acted like a bunch of thugs. Not surprised how the driver reacted.

Is it the bloke in the white t-shirt and body armour that gets hit? you can't even see his brake lights with the streefighter diddy ones he's got and he doesn't get knocked off but swiped and then I assume the surrounding bikers get a bit brave and he gets out of there? I don't really blame the RR, tens of angry bikers approaching your car, what you going to do? get out and negotiate?

The video clearly shows one of the bikes veering in front of the RR and then suddenly slowing down for no reason at all (which is what causes the camera bike to pass him so quickly). Whichever way you look at it, it was a spectacularly bad piece of riding.

Heard it was a yearly event ride out and it seems like the RRS didnt want to wait at the back and shoved into the middle of them all

Maybe they were acting like idiots but to run one down and then make a run for it, running over other bikes in the process? Come on.

I don't know how things are in 'Merica though. Maybe bikes are viewed in a different light there.

I'm not trying to defend it. Just repeating what I read on another forum.

However, as I said above. Idiots or not. To run one down and then make a run for it is just....

If I had some angry bikers coming at it me, with missus and child in the car, all because some idiot biker PURPOSEFULLY braked into my bonnet I'd happily mow the lot down.
