Looks good but I'll stick with my 1070, the 1070 needs to become 1060 6gb price and then ditch the pointless 3gb 1060 all together and make the 1060 6gb the old 3gb model price. 1070ti can just slot into where 1070 price bracket is then imo

KFA2 GeForce GTX 1070 Ti EX leaked

It appears that the rumors were true. So far each and every custom GTX 1070 Ti model we heard about comes with the same clock speed of 1607 and 1683 MHz (base and boost respectively).
Two AICs we spoke with also confirm 2432 CUDA core count for GTX 1070 Ti.
Below you can find first pictures of GTX 1070 Ti EX by KFA2 and its packaging, which clearly confirm the new model.
The packaging also confirms 6+8-pin power connectors and 8GB GDDR5 (not GDDR5X) memory configuration.

Nvidia is going to have to absolutely nail the pricing on this, the 1070 and the 1080 for this to make sense.

Yup. It simply isnt going to fit into the current pricing model. Have seen 1080's go for under £500 quite frequently, yet a lot of 1070's are still around the £400 mark. That isnt a big enough gap for this card to make sense. Too far beyond £400 and why would you not just get a 1080 and too near £400 and the 1070 becomes pointless.

Crazy the way the 10 series has went with all the endless variations of flavours yet the prices aren’t helping.

I have to say the graphics card arena is boring at the moment. AMD can't compete so Nvidia are releasing a card nearly two and a half years after the 980 Ti offering a small performance advantage for 70% of the price. That really isn't good progress.

To be fair, the 1060 basically performed like a 980 (when it should have performed like a 970). The entire lineup was pushed up a gear as a result

$429 SRP means £390 inc VAT. If it actually ends up being that price (doesn't seem to happen these days due to GPU shortages) it'll smoke the Vega 56 easily.

But essentially this is just die harvesting of Gp104, which is a Laptop chip .
But you're right Nvidia own the market and prices reflect this.
