Fwiw youtube also has different teirs of advertisers depending on the nature of channels. I saw someone above state how advertisers/ad companies will have contacted youtube claiming they dont want their adverts on his channels following the allegations - these companies aren't going to be running ads there anyway due to the association with brand and his 'ct's' in the first place.

More examples popping up of people that are still monetised despite being actually convicted of crimes, there will be more examples of this nature because youtube have kowtowed to pressure from 'government affliated commitees'

From how I understand the advertising works in this regard they would not know a specific subject, but they would choose the slot based around the type of show
Eg dispatches would have a different type of advertiser buying the slot to say Corrie

Then on another day and time (controlled to be as similar as possible to the previous one) they show program B that is guaranteed to be more popular (from viewership number perspective) than program A. Would the price of that Ad slot stay relatively constant?

Companies might be ok advertising their tinfoil selection against a CT promoter but they might not be as comfortable when it turns out he's been banging 16 year olds and also an alledged rapist.

Yes there's plenty of people that have served their sentence and now making money on YouTube and if companies are ok advertising against them I assume they will be able to make a living doing it

Private companies make decisions on what's best for their profit margin. One decided right now Brands not worth it. No big conspiracy just the free market

the bloke in the tweet above is just beginning to serve his time. Theres a difference between some who has served and is out - rehabilitation and all that, and someone whose in jail currently and someone who just has allegations and hasnt even been charged with any crime!
 
That was interesting on BBC News just.
A woman claiming Brand exposed himself in a BBC building in America and then 5 minutes later there is a recording of Brand and his Producer laughing about it on air and Brand admitting it.

Again private company can do as it pleases. Surprised they have kept his music monetized but probably more to do with contractual agreements with the record label
 
I've not got an issue with Youtubes money policy. As is often said, its a private company and can do what it likes. There are alternatives to youtube, and ways to make money from a youtube audience via other means.

It's the big brother poking its nose in to a private citizens business arrangements, when that person hasn't even been investigated, charged or convicted of any crime.

The government have picked a bogie man in Brand to get people to be outraged at his actions as an excuse for the government to offer a more far reaching solution.

Governments have always wanted to control the internet. Google was created and encouraged by the US government in its foundation. It literally sends bots all over the internet gathering information. It's no wonder Youtube quickly acted.
