Russell Brand.

Maybe Brand advocating revolution and defeat of the state has a contributory effect as well.

He says "rise up and fight for what you believe" and young, impressionable people see Syria as an opportunity to do just that. Nice one, Catweazle!

Hang him he is a traitor...

Inciting hatred maybe? sure they can charge him for something if enough people are "offended".... or is it only non whites who can be offended.

I wonder how many of the people in this thread (who do not like Russell Brand) admire Katie Hopkins?

No time for celebrities huh David?

Meanwhile...

Society hasn't failed to incorporate young Muslims. It failed to give ALL youngsters a true sense of purpose and identity. Pandering to people who journey here is what caused this problem, it all began under Blair's Labour. There is a very big difference.

It's no different to street gang recruitment.

It's absolutely hogwash when you consider some of the examples. Looking at well earning IT workers jetting off to rape, kill and purge and Russell thinks that is to do with Britain as a whole? Don't think so.

The internet age made this more accessible. This may have happened back in the 60s and 70s if it got the same coverage online today.

Russell Brand is on the verge of becoming a real life Batman villain.

If you take him at face value in the above interview style videos its surely interesting to teenagers and younger voters?

He's just a total *******.

"I'll speak in the words you use." No, they're just words you've strung together you loud mouth ****.

I frankly just want to punch the annoying moaning git right in the chops whenever i see his whiney face put on tv

"whine moan whine moan... spout spout!!! *angry*"

"so mr brand why not stand up and do something about it?"

"naaaaa mate....."
