Russell Brand.

A decade from now and people will be terrified to have a one night stand without signing an nda.

Sod that... The only real way is to bury the body later :p

At least then you can "only" get done with murder which seems to carry less of a stigma than sexual allegations/convictions these days

? Maison greenwood etc. accusers all have anonymity - nothing inconsistent happening here, most of weinstein victims anon too, I thought.

Greenwood's accuser wasn't anon. It was his own mrs, who has since retracted her allegations after destroying the man's career & suffered no repercussions.

It does make me look back at my 20s and think... kinda glad now I don't go out "on the pull" anymore!

How often were you after 16 year olds and telling them to make sure daddy doesn’t find out?

Any occasions where you tried to “force entry” after being told no?

These Brand allegations are in a completely different ballpark than having some casual sex when under the influence that one or both parties might regret in the morning.

Definitely. Scary to think since of the times when we were both really drunk and can barely remember a thing.

I don't like the fact a woman can wake up and have changed her mind and it's all then on the bloke as the wrong-un.
I've woke up before turned over and regretted my choice, lol. Can I claim rape.

And there is zero consequences for shouting it either.

Seen a very good friends life ruined from it. Made zero difference to her life.

Less of your toxic masculinity please Freefaller.

Sorry. :o

I was just making a bit of a light-hearted comment based on the comment made about one night stands.

I have no idea whether these allegations against RB are true or not. He's a big personality with whether you like it or not a tremendous amount of charisma. Some people like it some loathe it.

I regretted when I had a couple of STIs :o

You learn though... however it seems less interesting to people now to do this stuff. But also people are more educated and aware.

Where do you imagine this money is coming from? You think they are going to sue him for damages in the UK? If so they are going to need a lot of evidence as its all on them to show he did it. And this isn't the US where damages pay outs can get silly.

Nope some of the alleged rapes are said to have happened in his Los Angeles home - and the limitation period for sexual offences has been relaxed over there

He is an annoying, very pushy guy, but I do believe him when he says that nothing ever happened that wasn't consensual.

Having said that, I think that consensual in his mind is probably different to that of the girls. I think it's very likely that his pushiness got the better of the situation. I can easily believe that some women have seriously regretted failing to stop him. But I can't really blame him for being an ass. Rule one in life for a woman is they must know how to say no, even to people like him.

The age of consent in the UK is to protect the young from predators, and it's 16. If he has been messing with girls who are over 16 then that's not illegal. Immoral, maybe, but then given what the law is, it needs to be changed if people disagree with it.

I understand the guy is a narcissist and quite a horrible human being, however it's not like he went around and Cosby'd all these women  His literal brand was a sex addict who spoke openly about his sexual desires and taboos, the vast majority of these women would have been aware prior and still happily whored themselves like groupies to this fiend.

If after four years of investigating they don't have enough to bring any charges, then perhaps this hit-piece style "investigative journalism" dispatches show is not only a way to distance themselves, but also a way to flush out more potential "victims" to find some actual evidence, if any exists.

I've been keeping an eye on Brand's youtube subscriber count, it was 6.6m a couple of days ago, just checked now and it's 6.61m, actually gone up.

I hated Brand back in the day but recently I followed him and enjoyed his content, even before these allegations came out I presumed that he must have done wrong in the past, especially in light of how openly promiscuous he was, and I wouldn't ever excuse that, but I think I wanted to believe that someone could change, that you can repent, the thing is though to repent you must admit you've done wrong, it will interesting to see if Brand just refutes these allegations outright or admits maybe there was at least some wrongdoing, even ethically/morally, a man like Brand can't be completely innocent, I don't believe anyone can be a saint without first being a sinner.

Have any gone to the police yet?
