Rust - multiplayer survival from the creator of Garry's Mod

The server is about where I'd like it to be. I'm not a huge fan of PvP, and at the moment it is fairly friendly but I have still been killed and raided so some risk which the game is based on.

Not against PvP as such, just all the KOS that goes on sometimes. There will undoubtedly be a roleplay server come up at some point which will be PvP with some rules which I'll probably switch to.

The official servers with 1-200+ players sound like you'd just be forever shot and raided, you'd never get anywhere!

Yeah, but from what I've seen it's people annoyed because they've been raided while offline having spent days gathering supplies to build a bigger house - which is understandable. Fair PVP is fine, but things like killing unarmed players or griefing someone's house after raiding it are just a bit antisocial.

Still, raid me and you'll eat shotgun eventually ;).
 
I think its fair game to be shot when on someone else's property without announcing your presence as friendly, I always use V if I am near a house I don't know and tell them I am friendly etc. Whether I know someone is in or not.

Same with air drops, go there and expect to be shot by others with the same idea.

I don't approve of griefing bases though, but by all means settle your beef with those involved, just be careful that they may have allies.

Raiding and conflict is good.. I dont think anyone on the HG server is going around killing fresh spawns, and there is no fun in that really..but I like the way the server is developing, with groups teaming up and working together, and people realizing their actions have consequences.

Sorry about your h house Colourjam, but I am sure you will recover from it.

Gamma - dont tell me you wouldn't shoot someone found loitering near your house and ask questions later ;)

Is it just me that thinks C4 is a little to easy to get/make in this? Should be much rarer and actually make a player think than going around blowing everything up.

Don't mind being raided, just seems to happen way to regularly considering it takes people hours and hours to make for a couple of charges to undo it.

I've killed others and looted them and done the same to their houses, so i'm not someone who is just whining but it seems so easy.
 
Just be glad we don't have anyone duping C4.

I think the current plans for the game are to make it harder to get modern weapons and presumably C4 so that people will think twice before just killing someone. Being in alpha they need these things easy to get to see how they work etc.
 
Just got this on my new PC only played for 30 mins then got axed to death, seems fun so far. What servers do people play on.

Hey mate, have you thought about firing some mods onto your server a few appearing already?
 
Well, I just got the being hit randomly bug and logged out/in to find things not being where they should.. like the entire village. Something's awry.
 
Clearly a issue tonight. Out farming and was killed by a zombie and didn't see it. Can't see wood, animals, zombies, crates nothing.
 
Madeddie - since the bad lag last night people are reporting server issues e.g. assets not in your immediate vicinity appear invisible, resource, animals etc.

Can you please check it out? maybe restart needed?

I may have to get this to play with the OCUK lot :)

Seriously it sounds hilarious, just let me get at least an hour on the server before making me your bitch please..
