RX 590 performance

I picked up a Nitro+ Special Edition in the boxing day sales here in NZ for the equivalent of 230GBP.
At that price I am pretty stoked. It is a really pretty card, I have yet to push it but it seems perfectly stable at 1600mhz.
I have been out of PC gaming for an age and using a 1080p display so it is a great match for me.
My next step up will be to see if a Ryzen 3000 series chip will run on this B350 board when they release. The 2400g is going to be the limiting factor now.

If I was looking for a new card today I'd be grabbing a 590 & you can't really go wrong with a Sapphire (I think the current backplates are a bit fugly though).
Did you get the games too?

Yeah, all three games which significantly adds to the value... Or at least, I have registered and I am currently waiting for confirmation

3dmark is on a significant sale so I will grab that today and see how it handles.

Firestrike Graphics Score of 16330 and Combined of 12106 when hobbled by a Ryzen 2400g.

Cheers, those comparisons are helpful.

I am going to hold out for Ryzen 7nm I will be TDP limited by the B350 motherboard but I am hoping to get an 8 core that clocks a fair bit higher than my current chip at that point.

If I sell the 2400g before the 7nm APUs come out the upgrade wont cost me much.

I initially had a 1600x on a B350m board and it worked great with some 8pack 3200mhz DDR4, I replaced the 1600x with a 2700x and the memory was only stable when I dropped it down to 3000mhz so yeah waiting and going for a new cpu with the next platform's likely to be the smarter choice, I ended up grabbing an X470 board & now the memory's okay but it defeated the point of having backwards compatibility to save money when doing upgrades. Hopefully I won't have to do it all again when Ryzen 3000 lands. :D
