Ryzen "2" ?

Will the performance between the 2700 (65w TDP) & 2700x (105w TDP) be massive?

I am currently using an M-ITX build with a 4770k (84w TDP) in a Dan Case A4. The temps get rather toasty at times with a Noctua NH-L9i.

So the reason I am thinking about getting a 2700 is the lower TDP which is only 65 watts and should help bring down temps even more.

No, they are the same chip, just lower clocked, the performance difference will be in the clocks speeds, so no not massive, not a lot even.

Intel aren't releasing anything faster than 8700k this year and Ryzen 2 is coming out in less than 5 days.

Just get something in a week, or you'll be waiting forever for the next best thing. Appreciate what is out now. :)

They are, actually: https://wccftech.com/intel-core-i7-8086k-40th-anniversary-edition-cpu-benchmarks-rumor/

The timing could also be perfect to introduce their new Z390 platform which is expected to bring new 8 core processors in the market. Till then enjoy the news and let us know your thoughts about the Core i7-8086K processor down in the comments.

It's probably going to mean 1-2 fps less in games. I'd rather have the newer technology if I am buying new.

Oh hang on..........................we are told regularly and in no uncertain terms that those extra 1-2 fps make all the difference in games. After all, if you are a gamer you should bow down and get an 8700K by default anyway.

Fixed.
Gotta keep with the times, those incremental changes are amazing when they're Intel. It's only poor when AMD aren't a 50% uplift every gen, Intel can do that sort of stuff for 6/7/8 generations without protest (and with a new motherboard for each).
Suddenly Intel remembered they don't need a new motherboard for each processor release, totally a legit and consumer focused company we should throw money at though.

After the Threadripper fiasco and his reaction to it i don't, when he eventually did do a Threadripper review he actually laughed and snarled at the fact that it had 16 cores, snarling and laughing it was utterly useless because of nVidia CUDA, that to me shows his true maturity and how clueless he is, as JayZ2Cents pointed out the more CPU cores you have the faster CUDA works.
I think he thinks he knows better than anyone and with that he feels entitled, a bit like a bratty child, and then behaves like one when he doesn't get his own way.
That's why AMD have washed their hands of him, he's a brat.
to me JayZ2Cents is one of biggest system building noobs i seen on youtube,. Or hes low IQ or just pretends for youtube. Seems clueless all the time haha.

Seen some of hes videos an I was laughing so hard when he discovered that enabling gpu acceleration with cuda when producing videos does almost nothing. Yu can use 570gtx or titan X or whatever speed gain always been like ZERO :D

and he was like columb when discovered america LOL

How can anyone base any hardware opinions based on guy like that :D.

Or when he discovered you can use car coolant in water loop no problems and so on and on..
That guy must be new to pcs or something :D

Go to agree with that, Jayz and Linus both seem complete noobs, hell i have to laugh at Linus's "comms room" and some of the stupid stuff he spouts in particular.

Must be a youtube thing.

I like Linus cause hes what I could call a Showman. Does some wicked crazy stuff. And I know he just plays stupic. You seen hes old AC unit converted in to proper cooling ?? Noob jak Jay would not had a clue how 2 get it going :D

I was so close to building myself one back in the day :)

Used to like TTL reviews .... But hes overclocking skills are like ZERO remember he had issue with Der8auer when he could not see how VRM's are boinling ??

Ye cause aparently running something like 3d mark is.. Stress test hahahaha

Other guy that actually goes deep in to hardware is buildzoid

Proper motherboard reviews how VRM's are on given hardware ect.
PEople like me dont give a **** about... How many LED's on motherboard how many sata cables u get ect.
I want to know haw well its build how much I can push it before it fries....
Or on what motherboard memory can run Tightest timings.
Stuff like that takes actuall time to check not few hours. And going standard options in bios.
When I buy top board i actually Use mos of those extra options and dont leave it on AUTO.
Whats the point of spending extra money and staying on AUTO ??

I know that MSI's motherboards cant handle constant high overclocks... After all had to RMA my X99 3 times sold 4th one and went ASRock :D

Just like Linus he abuses the products he is reviewing in the way he handles/throws them around as well.
thats how i handle my stuff. Once I'w killed screw head on 7950 with crap screwdriver.
Normal person would give up.... I took my power drill out drilled the screw head off :D
Or i can get this cooler off or ill kill ths god damn cad.
Got cooler off :D

Besides that I'm a delivery driver kinda so i throw stuff for living
Remember guys if its fragile better put that on box or it will fly at some point haha.

Not that many years ago when Benchtec UK used to be near the top in the world, us guys on then there would bench together regularly. You would be amazed at the amount of times mobos, cpu's and GPU's were just chucked in frustration. It wasn't uncommon to just throw the contents of an LN2 pot straight over a mobo and just go get another pint of beer :D

You must have noticed by now that Never genereration is so... hmm carefull... dunno how to describe it.
They are like dont do taht it will break !!! Well theirs ****** iphone will when they drop it trying to do some stupid challenge selfie.

But in general stuff is hard to break. To them simple task like lets say changing brake pads is rocket science...

When i was 12 i was messing around with jumpers to overclock my 486sx.
Could you see how all them so called OVERCLOCKERS from Youtube have to deal with jumpers on motherboard. Or typing commands to make swap file on hdd.... in dos :D

Humanity is doomed :/

I just got this stuff in my veins. My dad used to run an TV VCR Radio repair self employment buisiness. I used to help my dad in the shop. So when he had propery broken TV set. He was like Here is soldering iron and PCB motherboard from broken tv. Solder out all resistors capacitors transfformers and any usefull parts out of it and stick in in a box.
I was in primary school kids played with ball outside. I had my fun with soldering Iron :D

Thats why I'm so hyped for any new hardware I can get. Its not about Using it I hardly play games anymore. Waht gives me fun is messing around with it spending hours days weeks tweeking settings to see how it behaves get every last bit of juice out of it.
Damn I had loads of fun with C6H and Ryzen in general most since 2500k times :)
