Ryzen "2" ?

Just a quickie (not big enough to warrant a new thread): Anyone have issues with HWMonitor64? It'll run, but if I click 'sensors', my system locks up, with hard-reset being the only way out. Any clues?

Hmm not had that. Isn't there an option when you first install it to disable some of the sensors that could cause issues?

Perhaps a full clean uninstall, making sure all settings deleted and then a reinstall see if you get that option.

I think unless you have a motherboard with a clock generator, the bus clock is estimated and you will end up getting misreadings with monitoring software.
Sometimes I got HWinfo64 to show my bus clock was at 107Mhz and that the R7 1700 was running at 4066Mhz, but it was just a misreading :D

How accurate is this? I remember the rainforest having the 8700k as a best seller before it was even released and no pre order was available.....

It's indicative of sales trends abd can be quite accurate. The videogames top sellers almost always matches up with the top selling SKU published by the NPD group.

Anyway this is pretty incredible, and the reason why Intel are rushing forward releases to try and stem the tide of Ryzen processors on the market.

They seem to be accelerating their release schedule, going to be interesting to see if Zen 2 is going to be a good enough IPC & clock jump to take the single core crown (albeit I'm sceptical).

So, updated to the latest (4018) BIOS on my Strix X470F-Gaming a week or so ago. RAM now running 3200, all-core 4.3GHz OC reinstated and running perfectly.
Not a single BSOD, lockup or crash since.

Happy days. Thought I'd pass it on...
