RYZEN 3000 - THOSE STRUGGLING TO FIND, LOOK HERE!

I ordered a 3800X on Thursday after cancelling with another provider because Gibbo has said they were getting stock last wekk and were going to have spare but it didn't happen :/

Yeah that sucks and it doesn't look like they have a new 'concrete' date for them now.

I ordered the 3900x when they were INSTOCK. After it didn't shipped, I called and found out they oversold the units. I missed out by just a few units. Really poor.

Bit of a snafu this release, isn't it. I wonder why supply is so low? What about the rest of Europe, same story there?

Annoying that the money has already been taken too, usually they should only take the money on despatch.

Was Friday, then today, now looking later. I only ordered a week ago so probably miles down the preorder list.

I ordered within an hour of launch when things said "In Stock" and now nothing...

Not the worst launch I've ever seen tbh, seen it before with GFX Cards, Consoles, other CPUs...

A decade ago I'd have been on the warpath, these days I'm a bit more patient.

It's the lack of accurate info that does my head in - not necessarily blaming OCUK here, probably AMD, but all this, "on their way, should be there tomorrow, maybe next week", it's not on. Can't tell me that, these days, with the stock control systems that exist in logistics, that one can't tell accurately where a pallet of stuff is. Just needs an honest answer so people can make an informed decision about whether to do something else......

Agreed. It actually makes me think that something nefarious is going on, especially the lack of transparency. Stolen shipments perhaps?

I bought some noodles for work and had tracking, which is an order worth £17, imagine a truck full of CPUs. They cant just go missing.

Well, considering all other websites list it at best next week, another retailer says 22th, some say August, and others even list it between August and September we may have been played for suckers, pre-ordered on Tuesday myself.

*** Competitor info removed ***

I've just been told the same - expected Friday, hope stock will show today but they can't make any promises. All perfectly understandable, but to me it looks like AMD is giving them the runaround so I've switched to a 3700x instead.

I'm guessing they've been playing around with stock information to get more orders in. They charge upfront so it's more of a hassle to cancel your order too. You also have no control of your order in your account like other big retailers so you have to contact them, which makes things harder too.

Could be either way, there's a lot of $$$ in those pre-orders as well. Sounds weird for them to say hoping for x this week if other stores give you straight up sit down and wait. As c123 said they charge upfront, other retailer had pending transaction instead.
I think the worst thing is they "don't know" if shipment will arrive today, they might not know if it will leave the AMD distribution centre somewhere, but I don't think it's possible for AMD to keep them in the dark AFTER the truck would leave the depo.

My guess is other companies just aren't sharing the info they're getting from AMD.

I'm kinda raising pitchforks here so imma chill down a bit. Might be true but I would guess other shops would like to attract some attention if AMD told them they would get the stock sooner, rather than deter potential customers by giving them a more distant date. It's all conjecture anyway no way to know for sure now and we will never know, I'm just thinking if I should get rid of that order and get something else instead.

The deliveries obviously aren't being made to the retailers for whatever reason. What I don't like is the promising of stock, it is misleading and probably pre-order grabbing.

If it doesn't ship as promised tomorrow, I'll be going elsewhere regardless of the wait.

Yeah, it's out of stock everywhere but everybody else just says "we don't have it and it won't be this week" only here they sell stories and send bupkis. Might follow you and go somewhere else or buy 3700x instead but I would like to avoid compromises.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, I always go for the best I can afford, it's a shame AMD managed to f up their release, people are mostly irritated now by what I can see online, they might have done themselves better by setting a realistic release date.

3800x stock now appearing in some places. Hopefully it does here too for those waiting.
