First AMD and cant seem to get my Ryzen 9 3900X to boost above 4491Mhz on any core,is there something i might be missing or is this standard?
Have the Gigabyte X570 Elite with bios F12f.
Never really overclock my PC's but strange it wont get near the advertised figures.

Cinebench is maxing out all 12 cores though, so there's no way you'll see 4.6ghz. In apps that only use a few cores, then you'll see closer to max boost.

Many thanks for the reply,been sitting here searching for hours reading different threads thinking i had a problem.

These CPU's work a bit differently, they'll clock as high as they can given the heat output. 12 cores is rather a large number, so if they are all flat out, it's going to be pretty warm.
If you watch the clocks when gaming, you'll probably see higher frequencies.

He is running the single core test, how exactly is cinebench maxing out all of his 12 cores?

Sorry, must have missed he was running single core test only.
Even the single core test doesn’t boost the 3900X as much as it should.

My single core boost is around 4.5 - 4.595, with one blip into 4.6 during the whole run.
It's hiiting the single core pretty hard, so it won't hold 4.6 consistently. Just play some games and check your peaks after.

As suspected I'm stable @ 3600mhz but have opted to stay on 3200mhz and run with 14-14-13-28 instead

Ok, mine shipped this morning, should get it by at least the 9th, 18th at most, though the seller i bought it from has a 59% positivity rating soooo....hopefully i'll get it, and when i do, i'll order the rest of my new system (MB, case and ram), the H100i plat i ordered could arrive as early as tomorrow. (which is odd because it shipped from italy, and the cpu is still in the netherlands, i think. Not sure how i can track that one)

I cancelled in the end and paid the extra to buy it from a reputable seller. Got fed up with waiting and being fobbed off.A friend was going to get one from that seller as well until I dug into the ever dropping feedback. Well...smeg. It did seem kind of odd that they were selling a ryzen 3900x (oem) for as low as £370, and yet the price kept jumping. Should i just cancel tomorrow and got from someone else?

Yeh I thought the £380 I paid at the time was a little too good to be true. You may eventually get it, but I certainly wasn't prepared to wait nearly 2 months to save £30. Better off buying from someone reputable.
