RYZEN 5000 SERIES NOW ONLINE - 5950X, 5900X, 5800X & 5600X COMING NOV 5TH AT 5PM **NO COMPETITORS**

Yea they had to pay a premium for grey stock to (not) get stock in before everyone else did, so they have to pass the cost on......

To be fair to OCUK if they sell them and make money than so be it, it's a business and they can charge what they like, you don't have to buy anything from them.

Well I have spent thousands of pounds with overclockers over the years so am disappointed that they are behaving this way now.

I think people have miss interpreted my post, I'm not defending OCUK at all. Just saying that is the reason they provided (wether true or not) and as a business they are out to make money.

I had my 5800x order in at 2:45pm on the 5th November which was the soonest I could possibly do it due to their website crashing. To be put in a queue where firstly the other website (you know who I mean) ended up getting stock faster, and in the end the big nooby high street store your grandma would go to buy a PC ended up getting stock with free next day delivery got me sorted faster than OCUK, and including delivery saving ended up no more expensive.

Quite frankly it's embarrassing on OCUK's part, so called specialist hardware retailer got beaten by.......where in the world?

And now they are charging near scalper price because (according to them) they had to pay higher for grey stock which going by their updates they didn't receive much/any.

My mates were literally ******* themselves laughing when I told them the place I eventually managed to get hold of one.

They host these forums and for that I am grateful, I sent some business their way prior to the CPU getting some other bits ready for my build, but going forward I won't bother

I see that the "massive amounts" of stock that other retailers had have now sold through. Didn't take long. OOS (almost) everywhere now.

None of it hit RRP in any case. Not a single sale at RRP so far :p

Sorry mate, didn't mean to imply that you are defending them. And yea it is embarrassing for OCUK, completely agree!

a popular UK high street chain store that sells everything for kettles to 80 in TVs, were selling the 5600x at MRSP 280. I realise those looking at OCUK to purchase that its not as bigger price hike as some of you are looking at but they can be found at the correct value. These "people" unfortunately play on the fact that some people wont wait for it, thus they spend the money which further inflates prices.
Its hard to blame companies for wanting to make money, particularly at this time with all the crazy going on but its important to note that their actions are driven by our actions, people need to be patient. These scalpers buying stock and selling on ebay are a big part of the problem, but again, they wouldnt do it if we didnt buy them.

Not defending them, its wrong and it doesnt make any sense, they wont be getting 1000s of units from a grey market, thats their supplier so the inflated prices talk is probably nonsense but we cant absolve ourselves of all responsibility. I myself am happy to pick up a 5600x for 280, i wasnt going to pay a penny more and was happy to wait as long as required to make sure that was the case

Yeah i've been keeping an eye on them but I'd be surprised if they get more in stock at that price.

They've had a steady supply upto Christmas, going by stock alerts.

Hopefully things get better for all stores and prices normalise

When demand = anything and supply = zero, you're going to have a bad time :p

AMD made, what, 12 cards so far? :p Or was it 11..

e: huh, weird, could have sworn I was in the GPU section, lol.

One retailer had about 1200 5600x delivered, they were gone in three days, Intel's mindshare is no more.

I like my 3090 Suprim but WOW it gives off a lot of heat. Im using my PC in a little room, with the Window open...in December! I wish some sort of heat exchanger existed to let my PC hot air heat up my home's water. There's something illogical about all this heat going to waste.

I write about the heat because I understand the FE model is much more efficient. But then again, Radeon wipes the floor with Geforce in that respect too.

Can I ask what did you pay for the MSI Suprim, and that is the card I kept have not used it yet as waiting on a support I know a support comes in the box but I purchased the Cooler Master ELV8 3-Pin Addressable RGB Vertical Graphic Card GPU Holder and cistom cables.

£1749

I just saw someone selling multiple 5900x for £199, clearly something is not right but cannot figure the SCAM.

They are not mentioning any normal scamming tricks like (BOX).

I am confused
