And yeah your ram is much better I'm so close to buy it but waiting for 7800X3D to see what i can pull from the ram i have now and don't wanna throw away 180£ for 2% more fps if my ram can do 6200 2167fclk with 7800X3D hopefully fingers crossed i get it and it's a good chip

Matt OCCT L-E is done 1 hour but I'm actually worried to have it like this since all pros use same as VDD haha
Yeah you have to decide if that 2% is worth it. Probably not for most people, but I always like to squeeze every drop I can out of my systems within reason.

I wish we had more time between reviews being released and the 7800X3D going on sale. Still undecided between the 7950X3D and the 7800X3D.
I'm not sure I'll need the productivity boost from the 7950X3D as I'll mostly be gaming, but will the 7950X3D also be better in games?

I would go with the 7800X3D GM, should be the easiest plug and play. 7950X3D is really for the enthusiast user who may or may not need the extra cores for app or specific game workloads.

The SiSoftware benchmark leak for the 7800X3D is interesting. Clock speed 5.05GHz
Results for those interested. This is not a benchmark for representing gaming performance.

Yeah, that's definitely a bonus. There's also a bit of me that's thinking it'll be both easier to justify another upgrade while on AM5 if I go with the cheaper option but also open up more options as an upgrade. By that I mean if upgrading from a 7950X3D then you might need to go for the 10900X3D or 10950X3D for it to be a real upgrade whereas going from the 7800X3D you could also add in the 10800X3D and likely any other X3D chips in between.

I just wish there was transparency from AMD about stock expectations and what the resupply timeframe looks like. It would certainly save people a lot of headache if they've been waiting for this time next week, only to miss out for whatever reason.

Wasn't the usual launch time 1400hrs GMT but the 7950X3D and 7900X3D got released early like at 1000hrs. Or was that a genuine mistake or intended?

I think that was a mistake - only noticed by hawkeyes on the forum. Think they sold almost instantly as a result but they didn't have all that many.

If the 7800x3d is expected to come in around £450/500 with the risk of very limited supplies - why aren't more people snapping up the 7900x3d for slightly more while it has a healthy amount of supply? I understand the value proposition isn't quite as good but the 7900x3d is still a very good CPU right? It's just placed between two better propositions in terms of price and/or performance?
