Morning quite a few of us should be receiving our 7800x3d's today I'd be interested to hear what motherboards you're all going for? as that is the only part I'm currently still undecided on
If you paid then its saved, when i ordered multiple items and one was out of stock they emailed me a few days later asking if i was happy to wait for it all to ship together once in stock, or to ring them and split it down to deliver what they already had.Checked this morning before I came to work and my order was still marked as 'Ordered'. This might have been asked before but what happens if something else in the same order is now out of stock? At the time it was just the 7950x3d we were waiting for. Now OC are waiting for the AIO I ordered to be re-stocked. I'm hoping that as they took full payment for the order that the other items would have been reserved somehow.
Anyone any info?

I suspect you are completely GPU limited in Port Royal regardless of which CPU you use, but that won't be the case in Timespy where the FPS are much higher.I haven’t checked to see if these look reasonable figures or not, 3dmark didn’t seem to suggest they were particularly poor nor particularly great. A bump in the time spy CPU score shows it’s working as intended I suppose!
R23 scores of
Single : 1787
Multi : 18,121
Look about consistent with some reviews (such as Guru3D)

Got my 7800X3D today. I'm going for the Asus B650E-E. For me, a Q-Code reader was a requirement, especially with a brand new platform.Morning quite a few of us should be receiving our 7800x3d's today I'd be interested to hear what motherboards you're all going for? as that is the only part I'm currently still undecided on
Didn't even know there was Expo I and Expo II option, will have to check tonight what my X670E Gene is set at with 7800x3d.I just fitted mine in to my X670E Hero this morning, previously had a 7600x in there. Before I could run my Corsair C36 6000 kit at Expo I, but now it fails to post with Expo I on the 7800x3d. Annoying, I’m not sure why. Running latest bios. Guess I will have to have a play with it at some point. It will run Expo II though, which is fine just slightly looser timings but it does have an impact with my previous 7600x.

Is it worth even bothering to try and get it running at 6400?
Yes, it absolutely is. 6400 is not guaranteed though, however 6200 should be possible for all users with the right settings. 6000 is plug and play pretty much plug and play.I've got my 7800X3D due in the next hour. I need to flash the BIOS in my Asrock X670e PG Lightning first. I've got a set of Corsair 6400MHz C32 that I was going to try and use with this build. Is it worth even bothering to try and get it running at 6400?
I'm expecting to have to run it at 6000 C30. I've gone for the faster RAM as I'm expecting the later AM5 chips to support faster RAM. I did this with my 2700->3900X->5900X and it worked well as my 3600MHz RAM lasted the life of AM4.
I used the stock paste that came on the X62 with my 8700k which I've had running for years OC'd to 5ghz and it's been fine. I'm going to do the same with the Z63.Got mine just a little earlier, I’ll build it when I’m not being lazy.
Not sure if I should use the stock paste on the aio(nzxt z63), the paste that comes with the thermalright contact plate or a ~8yr old tube of kryonaut(don’t think I ever opened it) which got misplaced then turned up a couple years back and has since been set in the garage.
