Poll: Ryzen 7950X3D, 7900X3D, 7800X3D

Will you be purchasing the 7800X3D on the 6th?

Game is using 86% of my 7950X with SMT off. SMT on hurts performance, probably why this game needs to be fixed by the developers as I mentioned before. Disable SMT and performance flies up. :)

Will rerun this when I get my 7950X3D to see if there is any improvement.
Tried with SMT off and it does improve a little maybe 10%+ but pushes CPU to over 90% usage. :p

Ill post the clip when YT is done with it.
Curious how the 8 core zen4 does here :)

It's quite odd to see SMT off causing such a performance increase this is certainly not the kind of difference I see in other games where it's typically margin of error or a slight gain with SMT off.

One of the cool features on Intel is the ability to enable/disable ecores on the fly with a scroll lock button toggle at any time, in any application. This makes it really easy to test if/how ecores are impacting a game or workload. In this game (and most others) HT is a deterrent but can clearly see the massive impact ecores have on performance.

They are doing decompression on the fly. Same with hitman 3. The 3d falls flat cause it lacks the compute to keep up.

So, Cyberpunk got an update today, which included DLSS 3.0. Can't notice any IQ reduction vs DLSS 2.0 "quality" which I was running before.
FPS is now capped at 120 (shows 116 due to vsync dlss 3.0 implementation) in seemingly all areas, including tom's diner.

4K Ultra, RT Ultra, DLSS 2.0 (same image I posted a few days ago, with 13900k)

Will put my 4090 back on my R5 7600 rig when I get time, this DLSS update may very well alleviate the CPU bottleneck there :)

Nice to see more ppl benchmark Cyberpunk, gotta say, much better performance than I expected in some cases! Granted, I also do some modding so that takes its toll on the performance (particularly when messing with the NPC pathing). Definitely need to do a CPU upgrade as well!

how much replayability does cyberpunk have ? its single player game ? I played it for 10mins and never again not really my type of game though more into online for replayability
Depends on the player. Here's me (actually added some more since this screenshot):

If you can give me a save game right by the diner I will give it a go when time allows.

Not sure what to think of that but whatever makes you happy we all different:)

It should be able to double your CPU limited frames, with a latency penatly. :)

When not using frame generation I can see CPU performance is worse for me which is likely because I was using Cyber Engine Tweaks SMT fix before. Will have to check when it gets updated...

@stooeh Provided me with a save game file so here it is Tom's Diner on 7950X, 720P Ultra Ray Tracing preset but custom due to FSR disabled.
I actually get lower CPU utilisation in Toms diner than I did in the other clip, so I'm sure the developers could improve performance here with some engine optimisations. I was expecting this to use more CPU cycles not less. CPU usage dropped to 66% at one point and was in the high 60s/low 70s for most of the clip. In the previous area it was nigh on locked at 86% CPU usage with higher performance.

Nice, but activate fsr to max. I wanna see if thr 7950x can break 100 fps in that area.

Thats pretty decent. Not intel decent, but i expected worse. It can almost hold a minimum of 100 fps.

Is the cpu stock or oced?
It's tuned, details in the video description but its running PBO, curve optimiser and 6000C28 with SMT off. No manual all core overclock.

FPS hit from recording the video is 2-3 FPS so might keep above 100 if I was not recording at the same time on this machine.

So thats pretty much maxed out 7950x. I think ht on helps in that area, but not sure when you got 16 cores.

My 12900k stock with 6000c30 is faster than the 7950x maxed though. Ald is still a beast
