RYZEN DDR4 MEMORY, WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Am looking for a 32GB kit for my ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO, as the kit I just bought(loved the style in black)

Team Group Xtreem "8Pack Edition" 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C14 3200MHz Quad Channel Kit - Black

MY-094-TG

Wont overclock on a ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO, Stays at 2133.

Any recommends out there? same kind of style. Not keen on the RGB memory's.

What ram voltage have you set? Try 1.4V and set ram boot voltage also at 1.4V. It should then boot at frequencies above the base.

What bios version?

Bios Version 1701

Was set at 1.35.... Pushed both to 1.4 and even 1.45(and ram boot voltage). set at 2400, still boots at 2133.

Tested my other DDR4 Corsair LPX in there, and that works fine, can get that up to 2966 fine.

FWIW , I found some cheap Corsairs Vengance 2666Mhz Modules , they have XMP 2.0 with CAS 16-18-18-35 timings . These Ram sticks could incredibly overclock to an run stable 3066 when all four are inserted and 3200Mhz when two are inserted , using the XMP profile . I had a stab in the dark with higher speeds , and although the system will boot at 3133 and somtimes 3200 they do not remain stable . I also was able to loosen the timings to find stability but , this affects performance . So Far I am settling with 3066M hz

I am now wondering if I should upgrade for something faster , such as the GSSkill TridentZ F4-3866C18D-16GTZ. I understand these would be limited to 3400Mhz , even though they are rated at 3866Mhz , if I am not mistaken?

Specs
Ryzen 2700 ( 4.2 Ghz)
X370 Gigabyte Auorus K7 Gaming
GTX 1080Ti
EK blocks Fully Custom Water Loop .

I'm using F4-3200C14D-16GTZ on C7H with 2700X. Upto 3400MHz was far easier than with several gen 1 CPUs I used on C6H. I believe the gen 2 IMC is more forgiving. Currently use 3466MHz C15 1T, crazy low SOC when compared to gen 1 for similar tests. I set in UEFI SOC 0.968V VDIMM: 1.37V VTT: 0.687 ProcODT: 48.

P95 v28.10B1, 8K 4096K 13GB, PState 0 4.1GHz VID: 1.318V, LLC: [Auto] and RAM as stated, link to screenie with RTC, etc.

Are Gskill Flare good enough for Ryzen 2*** series? guru3d said that the 3400 was a good bet for new ryzen 470 boards.

Simply put Samsung B die is best favoured by Ryzen gen 1, gen 2 and Threadripper. I wouldn't pay extra for Flare X vs a non AMD approved kit which has Samsung B die on it.

ASUS ROG C7H UEFI 0601
2700X PState 0 4.1GHz, VID: 1.318V, SOC: 0.981V
F4-3200C14D-16GVK @ 3466MHz The Stilt, VDIMM: 1.37V VTT: 0.687V, ProcODT: 53.3

Screenie of ~8.5hrs run of P95 v28.10B1 (8K 4096K 13GB). So by just swapping RAM over I needed to bump SOC/ProcODT a bit to gain same profile as F4-3200C14D-16GTZ.

Maybe you should have a look at your own "Screenie" gupsterg. It clearly shows P95 only running for i min, May25 15.37 to May25 15.38. With the best will in the world................that isn't 8.5 hours.
