RYZEN DDR4 MEMORY, WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Hi, just wondering if anyone can advise me on which ram to go for.
Currently looking at 16gb to go with my ryzen 1600 and my ga-ab350-g3 mobo.
Ive Seen that theres a lot of viable options on the first page but as theres 35 pages now can someone point me in the right direction.
Prefer to spend on the cheaper side and just overclock if its possible such as with the corsair vengeance 2400mhz.
Any help would ve appreciated :)

If you really want 3200MHz, then get some CL14 3200MHz G.Skill RAM and you shouldn't have much of any issues.

For Example: F4-3200C14D-16GTZR

Anyone know if there any 2x16gb kits reliably working at 3000 or up yet? Took my eye off the ball, not sure how those promised updates have panned out and now May has ended...

The promised updates will come in June instead, there are beta bios-es from Asus, Asrock and (i think) MSI, the news are great, on the Asrock forum a user got his 4x16GB kit to work at 3200 on the beta bios. I don't know if i'm allowed to link to another forum, but if you want details, it's "AMD motherboards" section, "AGESA 1.0.0.6" thread, page 14 :)

Good to hear, thanks :) With Coffee Lake announced, I have to admit I'm likely to hang on and compare the two... but Ryzen will look a lot better if the memory speeds are sorted by then ^^

Hi Guys, I need a little help.

I'm thinking of upgrading to Ryzen, which I would like to Overclock but im not sure which RAM I should be looking at, is Ryzen still having issues with ram ?
Would Gibbos first page advice still the best or have things improved ?

Im not looking to spend too much on ram

Could anyone simplify it for me?

I'm incredibly positive that it is, because 3200 cl14 is reknowned to be Samsung b-die.
Best give the part number a Google to research though.
Cheers. I had had a look already, but there seemed to be a bit of confusion out there. After a more thorough search this morning, it turns out the confusion stemmed from an error on an MSI QVL listing, which said it was Hynix. They've corrected it now, so as far as I can see, the kit is indeed Sammy B die.

Thanks

Quick question, would higher speed ram offer any major benefits or should I just get the the cheaper ram ?

I have those: CMK16GX4M2B3200C16, not one but two kits (4x8GB) and I can run them rock stable at 3066 after AGESA 1.0.0.6 update. (previously only 2666). One of the cheapest kits and pretty fast. I'm sure with a single kit it would work at 3200 or even more, but I need 32GB...
Mainboard: Asrock X370 TaiChi

I can confirm that this kit now runs at 3200 using the XMP profile on the Gaming 5 with the latest Beta bios, twas a nice surprise when I built the machine last weekend!
