Saints Row: The Third

Just played till after the military bit at start. Quite surprised really, the gfx are polished the fps is uber smooth at ultra settings with vsync on and its quite fun. The things im not keen on is the driving. Whilst its playable and not nearly as bad as sr2 was its still feels weird like their is some dampening on the handling. Also playing with gamepad atm i cant aim for **** lol, how on earth ppl can play games with a pad i dunno lol as im trying but im really damn tempted to just use mouse and kb for it for the aiming. Lucky i guess that im playing casual setting otherwise i would be dead.

The map reminds me a lot of gta4 map as in layout and visuals.
 
ahhhh lol

Just finished the main story line, god it's awesome, although i couldn't kick as much behind as i wanted to ( STAG and Killbain)

and some of the missions involving the choppers are a nightmare lol

No not that far yet, only about 23% I think. I just did the mission where I got to store my first Vulture Heli. I have been messing about with activities :D

The heli is a quick way to take out those purple fist gang locations. Well seems to be so far anyway
 
Should I play these games in order? I have Saints Row 2 on Steam, but haven't played Saints Row. Should I just play SR2 to see if I like it or are the storylines linked i.e. I should buy Saints Row first?

You can if you want, but you don't have to.

The storylines are linked, from the first game to the last, not hugely intricate linking but enough for it to be seen, also the first game was exclusive for Xbox360 :)

there kind of linked in the way the gang the saints evolve and thats about it, you can just jump right on 3 if you want its defo the best of the 3...
 
Been playing this game since 6 am I just can't seem to put it down, going to have a break, my ears are hurting from the headset, I'm glad I bought this game,
 
I had the story done Friday, so collected nearly everything just a few days drug packages left to can anyone confirm if playing co open wipes your story. I want to do it but don't wana lose my progress

Just tried Shopto and oh dear what a Piece of **** site that is, won't let me sign up let alone order the game :rolleyes:.

If you can look past the average visuals, uber-arcadey vehicle handling and, well, that's about it, you will probably love SR2. Chucking people off tops of buildings and insurance fraud were probably what I had the most fun with in SR2. Great game, and refreshingly amusing after GTA IV.
 
Went with CJ's CD Keys for £20.49, bit annoyed they took the order without mentioning the fact they don't actually have any keys in stock until after payment was made. Can't complain too much at that price though if I get it in the next couple days.
 
This game runs like crap for me, shame really because it would be a good game if it wasn't such a badly ported pile of crap. I can't even run it smoothly on it's lowest settings but can manage to run bf3 on high, what a disappointment.
