** Samsung 830 seres SSD, CRAZY PRICE ** READ POST 342

I've had my fair share of OCZ Agility 3 drives as well. I have one which works, and another which I've just RMA'd back to overclockers. This samsung, however, I also have, and it's a much faster experience than you receive with the OCZ drive and more reliable as well... none of the BSODs, freezes etc.

I'd say its worth the wait.

Just as an FYI for those considering the ocz agility 3.

I got one a few weeks ago for my new build, and I got continuous BSODs. I had to disable realtek audio drivers before kernal power error went away.

Then I upgraded my GPU to a amd 7950, I had crashes every 5 minutes. I am not kidding.. same error. So I had to then update the firmware with a USB stick and Linux, then update the firmware on my asus mobo. And it still kept causing the same issue, so I had to do a clean install of windows and fingers crossed its working fine now. So the OCZ agility 3 does indeed have issues out of the box. However when its working fine its great on ATTO I got 520MB/s write 534MB/s read.

please, buy a revodrive so I can laugh at you, the 1tb model please :p

W

Get the revodrive then. IMO, they're one of the most retarded things to exist on this planet :)

Oh dear, I have been misinterpreted. I agree with you on the revodrives/retarded etc.
What I meant was Overdrafts are for weaklings if you use them to buy revodrives (as an example of a stupidly expensive item), but you aren't so weak if you have a valid reason, like financial difficulty and weren't paid last month or something like that

Revodrives are only acceptable to those who can afford a 1tb one that costs £3k

EDIT: only reason i ask is due to me being at work all this week as normal so might need the delivery to go back to my work address

Shame really as these are now available 10% cheaper else where. What to do...

They're waiting on stock too & the delivery cost will make it match your free delivery from OcUK + no free pen drive?

I'd rather pay OcUK a few extra quid anyway... I've had nothing but good service from them & I can't say the same for other etailers except the big orange one... but their service still isn't as good IMO.

Yeah, it's a close call but I'm going to stick with OCUK. A saving of £14 is counter-balanced by no free pen drive, no 2.5-3.5 adaptor and no quick, free delivery.

I dont believe this includes a 2.5 - 3.5 adapter does it? if it does then this really is a great price

The 64GB is "Desktop Series" = adapter included
The 256GB is "Notebook/Apple Series" = no adapter

They both come with a copy of Ghost though :)

EDIT: Interesting combination of graphics cards :p
q6600

I thought as much even though it does say in the op that it includes it

Its not its my mobo i suppose I should add nforce or mobo on to that lol its an old build something I hope to be changing before too long

Hmmm, why do both descriptions on page one of this thread include " - SSD 2.5"-3.5" tray" at the bottom then?

I bought partly because of this (switched from the Agility 3 offer and a SSD tray, paid the difference), and when I called OCUK to switch I confirmed that it was included, in order to delete the SSD tray from my original Agility 3 order.

Edited to say: can someone at OCUK please confirm if this is the case?

Evga 680i SLI is an old mobo from the Socket775 era using Nvidia's 680i motherboard chipset. The SLI part just indicates that the mobo supports SLI because back in those days motherboards either supported Crossfire or SLI but not both. It's just a coincidence that they're using those numbers again to name one line of their current generation graphics cards.

See this...

Ahhh - lol... yes, completely forgot about that - I think I even had the same motherboard with my C2E and 8800GTX SLi.
