Anyway, back to the item in hand :P

Does Norton Ghost allow you to copy a system image from one drive to another? I currently have a Crucial M4 128gb and a 1tb HDD, and want to copy the M4 to the 830. Will my OS and everything still work, or is it a case of wiping the lot and starting again?

Yes - that's exactly what it does, the Norton interface is a bit more cumbersome than it's Symantec counterpart, but it still does the trick... especially handy with the included usb -> sata cable :)

Free shipping, free 8GB USB Flash Drive, discount on the SSD, plus direct contact with the CS Team and Purchasing Team. Not bad if you ask me. :)

Completely agree - always appreciate the CS I receive here and it's why I'll keep coming back :)

Although, I suppose the ~£2.5k I've spent here, so far, this year - says that :)

Clearly missed the bit about free shipping and Haribo, bonus. It's this level of service that makes OC great and keeps me coming back, so thanks.

Awesome, that's my weekend sorted then!

Weekend? More like 30 minutes :)

Last time I did an SSD->SSD clone, it took about 20 minutes to actually do the copy + the time it took to boot in to Ghost... so say 30 mins max.

And they were slower SSDs than the crucial/samsung :)

Hmm, tempting. Worth going from an OCZ Agility 3 that has been flaky at best during the time I've had it, to one of the 256GB ones?

I have completely forgotten, would someone be kind enough to remind me how to set TRIM up please?

Plug the drive in... install Windows 7

... done :)

Every install I've done on multiple different SSDs lately - it's always auto enabled it for me.

There's a command line command you can use to check - fraid I don't rememeber it off-hand - quick google should find it for you.

Yes - the Sammy is in a whole different class from the Agility, despite the price :)

Much more reliable too - I've had nothing but issues with OCZ SSDs (every single one I've ever owned ~9 or 10 have had to go for RMA!). Bad luck for me, some people have no issues what-so-ever with them :)

Never experienced issues with Crucial/Intel/Samsung drives.

Should be enabled in Win 7.

To Enable TRIM:

1.Open the Start Menu, type CMD
2.Right click the icon and Run as Administrator
3.Type fsutil behavior set disabledeletenotify 0

Edit

To Check TRIM
as above then
3.Type fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify

DisableDeleteNotify = 1 (Windows TRIM commands are disabled)
DisableDeleteNotify = 0 (Windows TRIM commands are enabled)

I have a 120GB OCZ Agility 3, and I have 11GB left after installing a 3 games.. with the size of games these days this is the perfect purchase. At this price its practically a steal.

That's the one... the check command is this, I think:

fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify
