To the guys getting stuck at 'preparing desktop' I had exactly the same problem with my uncles cloned install.
DO NOT make a partition on the SSD or assign it a letter. If you have done either of these, delete the partition and then clone the drive again.

Thanks Mike. After about six failed attempts, I was about to throw my PC out of the window... but following your advice above, the cloned drive now works perfectly.



(For anyone else with same issue, you also have to ensure a letter isn't assigned by Ghost in the Disk Copy wizard.)
