Samsung Galaxy Note: 5.3", 1200x800 SuperAMOLED, S-PEN stylus, 2500mAh attery... *phew*

Think I'm going to have to buy this... I know people are going to make fun of me when they see it but I just can't resist the specs.

Still... think I'll keep hold of my Galaxy S to take on nights out etc....

There is something on Facebook about the 'launch' of the Note today at CPW on Oxford Street, but I can't find any detail at all. In fact, the picture only says experience the Note, does that mean I can buy one or not?

All going well, I'll have my unboxing video uploaded this evening.

I want some good video of you demonstrating it's portability in a variety of situations! :D
 
Yes the specs on the Note are way better than the Nexus, but we have to wait and see how well ICS runs on the Nexus. It's a possibility that the new OS doesn't necessarily need the same resources as it's predecessor, therefore real life performance could be better.

.... but then ICS on the Note would essentially blow the Nexus out of the water! definitely something to think about!

Better they have it and it be of use to someone, than not have it and of no use to anyone. Its mechanism is apprently firm, so no chance of it falling out. Besides, I think its pretty cool personally. :)

What are you planning on using it for?
 
I keep looking at this phone, and thinking I'd love it for the screen... But then, I think I'd look like such a pleb holding/using it. May aswell just carry my iPad around with me!

Pen for browsing and navigating when im at home, as the pen is a more comfortable position for the hand than it is with your finger constantly extended with normal touch-based navigation. Also the note part is very cool, drawing on maps etc. Im not saying id use it constantly, but I could deifnitely use it. Plus, there will soon be a lot of apps released that integrate it, and undoubtedly cool new features will emerge.
 
I think the thing I would love the most about the pen is being able to avoid getting fingerprint smudges on the screen :p
 
That is a great review.

To be honest, the more I look at it, the less gargantuan it seems.

Hmmmm.

If it had ICS, I'd get one right now to at least try.

in a positive review, speaks volumes to me about the size of it! :p
