Any other ways to buy apps from the market?

It only accepts credit cards as a method of payment and I don't own one..:(

I'm having a good study about them at the minute, prior to trying one!
 
Can anyone who currently owns this phone and a wii mote please try the wii mote controller app?

Its all to do how the bluetooth works and if it can access low level BT. The HTC phones fail at this due to some issue accross all phones.

Now on the market! Search for Wiimote Controller (try this link from the phone)

One guy said it didnt work for the Galaxy S 9000 but i would like more opinions....Also its said the gameboid app doesnt work either on the Galaxy....

A little worrying considering how close i am to buying this and ditching my Iphone 3g....

Deciding still i am not disappointed with the Desire its a sweet phone but the camera isn't great and the video which is putting me off it atm, oh and the battery life sucks.

Yeah, although I saw it on Engadget. If that picture is genuine and not a lame photoshop then it looks like a fantastic keyboard too - 5 rows of keys!!! OK, my Universal as 6 rows so it's not quite up there, but nobody will ever make another phone like that, it's bigger than some netbooks! :p
Still no hint of a launch date - you'd think that Samsung would've wanted to launch the vanilla and "Pro" versions of what's basically the same phone simultaneously!
 
Meh, stupid mobiles.co.uk failed to dispatch my phone today for tomorrow, so much for gauranteed next day ... another days waiting, yay! Not!

Did you pass all the credit checks fine?

Last time I used them the phone was despatched within an hour of placing the order :eek:
 
Well I don't know what they check but I have more then enough in my account for it, phone handset was a tenner so don't see the problem. Really annoyed! Had day off tomorrow too, just my luck.

its not about the money in your acount, its about your credit rating, they will normally phone you though if it fails.

I had a quick play yesterday in carphone warehouse, it had litteraly just come out of the box, the screen is fantastic, really responsive and huge, the phone does feel quite plasticy which is a downer, but i would still have one over my hero, i like it without sense ui, as i have launcher pro any ways, roll on till march :(
 
Got mine today love it so far.

I did have problems trying to connect with pc (windows 7) but i downloaded Samsung Kies software for the pc and all is working now :D

I new to phones with internet and that suck so when i am not connected to to my wifi home network i take vodafone charge me everytime i go on the net ?

Is there away to turn internet off unless i am wifi only as some times i forget to connect my wifi lol

People who have the phone, could you just confirm that the Google Navigation software works properly?

I have read that it should do but I would want 100% confirmation :p

Seems to work very well but Ive tested it briefly.

Still having problems buying from the market with a Visa debit card, keeps giving me an invalid details error and its beginning to wind me up. Why the hell dont they just accept paypal or let me use my google checkout account?

Also quite dissapointed with the Wi-Fi. With my HD2 I could geta full signal at the bottom of my garden with this I can manage 1 bar in the bedroom & cant even pick up the network in the garden.
 
wi-fi is poor compared to other smart phones, video capture is glitchty, flash isn't powerful enough, proper hd video is out of sync, headphones output is a little distorted. This is what I found anyway. The screen really is superb, and it does seem as snappy as the desire. Onboard speaker is half decent, and the UI is different. Shame it has a plastic feel, else I would say its a great android phone. Xvid/divx playback is bang on from the go, and it does take nice photos. Touch screen is great also, however I found it laggy after a good use. Battery appeared to be slightly better than desire, but I can't say for certain over a few days. Headphones supplied are pap, but that's no suprise. Is it better than say the desire, I'm not so sure it is yet, have to wait and see.
 
I've heard various things, which is why I'm waiting for some more reviews to surface, only seems to be the GSMArena one up at the moment (which is extremely good).

Know any more?
 
Even though mobiles.co.uk said they hadnt dispatched my samsung, i've just woke up to find i've missed a packet from royal mail!? Seems they lied haha got to wait until around 2 to go pick it up, yay! Will let you know how i get on with it asap.
 
Ah that might be it then.

Report back with pictures and thoughts once you've got it ;)

God damn Engadget and Techradar for not having reviews out yet :(
