Nothing as yet from Vodafone on date or pricing. All they have said is that they will launch the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the UK.

It probably will if you buy it from Vodafone, so just buy it on Amazon or from the Carphone Warehouse and it won't come with branding.

yeah got some cash set aside, and buy sim free anyway, but to be honest my htc desire is running really well at the min, got a nice cm7 rom and very happy with it. so prob just the tablet for me to start with, still not sure this or the xoom... but if they did a combo pack yeah why not
Xoom reviews are up link...shows that it's screen quality is a bit carp - contrast ratio and colours nowhere near as nice as the ipad's IPS screen. God damn shame...i hope the samsung one is better.
samsung will be bringing out smaller size tabs this year too. i think 8-9inch is the sweet spot for me.

when is the date for the sammy? im off to America in June, i presume it would be slightly cheaper for me to get one there?
Still no date from Vodafone UK and there's been nothing from the US. You will probably get it cheaper because knowing the UK it will be the pound equivalent of the dollar.

People have been saying bad things about the Xoom screen, so I may be forced to wait for the Tab. I really don't want to wait, but then again don't want to spend £700 and end up not being completely happy with the Xoom.

That the screen brightness and contrast isn't as good as expected and that it is pretty much useless in bright sunshine.
Also people are comparing it to the iPad and saying that its seen is still better, even though it is a year old, and that they would have expected the Xoom to have an equal or better screen for the price tag.
