We don't exactly know yet

I see, I must admit I'm finding it hard to keep track of all these new display types that are appearing (OLED, AMOLED, etc.) so it will be interesting to see what they use with this.

I've seen comments about the video performance of Tegra 2 not being as good as Exynos, but it definitely will play them. Tegra 2 can't be any worse than current Cortex A8 processors on that front, and those can play 720p.

I assume you are talking about 720p and 1080p h264/x264 files?

I don't know if the Xoom supports the mkv container out of the box, but that's just a case of finding the right app.

that is a false economy- £500 tablet will not save you £500 electricity over its lifetime.

90% of my movies and tv shows are avi files, as long as a the sammy or the xoom play that im in!

Players like RockPlayer or V play them fine on my HTC Desire, so should work even better on the tablet especially with hardware processing available to all applications.

Apple's 32GB Wifi/3G offering is $729 though.

I hope people aren't expecting it to come close to the $499 price tag of the 16GB wifi only version.

Even if it is just above I think I will still go for it because I prefer Android rather than iOS.

From hands on reviews I heard that the Tab 10.1 feels cheap so I think I will wait a couple of weeks for actual consumer reviews before I buy.
