Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Tablet

My soft outer bags have arrived, very very nice for £3.90 each, spoke to a girl in the bank and my Note, 2 7.7s and my Ace can all be insured for free because of my current account and the 7.7s get an extra years warranty no quibble about where it was purchased from apparently.:D

cool - which bank and what account?

Barclays, Current Account Plus, the fee I'm already paying is £6.50 a mnth, many bonus features, of particular interest to people here, mob phone insurance, gadget insurance, cardholder protection and extended warranty.

Are there any differences to the one amazon are selling and *******?

Price and availability of 3g.

Also note many of the sellers who "have" the 7.7 and the few who "have" 3g aren't Amazon, where do you think they source high price differential items with a high profit per item, yup China.

Structurally they're the same imo and folk who would spot the difference straight away haven't reported any issues anywhere I've researched.

I have the platinum account with Lloyds - don't think it includes gadget insurance; will have to check. cheers.

Just got the tab, and its fricking awesome !!!!

Can't wait for the roms now :D

On the lock screen i can see the bottom bar where the wifi signal is ? is it meant to be like that ?

So nearly ordered one today ;) but I think I've talked myself out of it :D

Realistically a 7" tablet is of no use to me, too small to do anything useful !
I think if I had a 2 hour train ride every day I would jump at one, with that fantastic screen and battery life. I've had all the netbooks and a HTC Flyer and I just don't use them..just enjoy the pleasure of setting them up and owning them.

I have a SG2 and a Note, both fantastic and they fit in a pocket so I use them plenty. But please don't anyone be put off by my thoughts :)

I've always thought that the ipads are too big for anything except sitting at home on the sofa. When you are out and about, they are huge. 7.7 is a much better size. Thing is with Android, you have a choice. With Apple you do not. You take what you are given.

Soz for late rep, i got sidetracked in the real world.

The pdf was downloaded in about 5 sec and opened instantly by Polaris, all text and diagrams were perfectly rendered numbers in ven diagrams were perfect, I held the tab in portrait and scrolled up very swiftly many pages at a time causing no issues on the page.

The whole page was rendered on screen no looking around with a magnifying glass.

I would give it 5/5 in the handling of pdf's, I'm sure it will be up to the task and you'll be able to put it through its paces better than I.

Thanks a lot for that thep02 :). So the writing was clear and legible on a full page, that's fantastic.

After spending a week with my Galaxy Note I have to say I don't think I'd be able to purchase any other tablet which isn't a Super Anoled display!

The battery life on the 7.7 is amazing isn't it? I read it can achieve 12 hours battery life!?

Glad to be of help, I also have a Note and love it, the 7.7 is better ;)

Nztechfreak has a YT channel with loads of Note stuff, I like his style but then again that might be because me and my youngest enjoy watching The Almighty Johnsons together.
