Samsung LS34E790C - Curved 34" 21:9 super-wide

I really wouldn't worry about returning it being an issue. iv returned 4 of the LG and soon will be sending back my 5th for a refund which iv had for 5 months. That's only because LG are letting me get a refund but iv never had any issue with OCUK over the other 4 I sent back.

I think this translation extract from that review sums it up well... "The price is just over chopped in our opinion. You must pay the entire 8500 crowns before you can mirror yourself in the splendor of this screen."

well after ordering mine on Wednesday waiting all day Thursday for nothing, phoned OC this morning there following up with DPD checked back with them this afternoon, still the same.

04 Feb 2015 21:22 Hub 2 - Birmingham We have your parcel, and it's on its way to your nearest depot in Hebburn

being like that up to now, I am refusing the delivery if it does comes, also it was supposed to be my Brothers Birthday present !!! for yesterday.

I can see ghosting on objects but you can never really tell how much it effects you unless you have the screen infront of you.

so we have the LG with bad bleed...the dell with bad bleed or the Samsung with ghosting?

Is that not the trait of VA screens though, poor motion clarity/ghosting (more so with dark objects/backgrounds) and high input lag?

Can anyone comment on the anti-glare finish of this screen and how it compares to the LG ultrawide screens anti glare finish? (the LG screen have the best finish I have seen on a monitor so hope the Samsung is just as good)

Have seen contrast ratio figures of about 2500:1 being thrown around for this screen, bit disappointing tbh, was hoping it would be near the philips 40" 4k contrast ratio of 4000:1

Hopefully PCM2 and badass will have their review samples soon!

I thought the Dell was miles better than the rest of the current 34" ips crop for bleed? Looking in the Dell thread I can see myself and one other with next to none. I have virtually no bleed or even any ips glow (unless i look at it from an angle that no one would ever sit at and view it from). I can't fault the Dell at all.

It's probably just people with a bad one being the most vocal online that's giving the false impression that they are in some way "faulty". I'm extremely happy with mine and it's been well worth the money. Check the photo I posted of it displaying a pure black screen for reference. I accept that some people may have a bad one but to purport that as the norm due to a vocal minority with a bad one seems both unfair and in some cases just simply not true. To get a perfect screen is not the absolute certainty it should be for the price however getting a bad one is also far from the certainty that some people seem intent on making others believe.

I think the Dell is going to be the answer of the current crop with a hope you're lucky enough to get one without bad backlight bleed...
