Samsung NC10

Windows 7 is running very well on it and I struggle to see how it can possibly run better with 1GB than 2GB. 7 seems more efficient than Vista but it's not that much better!

Have my TZ21 back now anyway so the NC10 will only be used by my missus but she loves it :)

I've been using a cable to connect the sound out to my NAD C325BEE and I have to say the soundcard on the NC10 is pretty darn good for what it is. I had no trouble being pleased with movies and music :)

Viewing angles are good:

Warranty would not be void since you're not taking the unit apart to void warranty, you're just removing the RAM upgrade panel to upgrade the RAM and nothing more.

Batteries are available too yes but at £74 for a 7800mAh one!

£74 for battery? That's expensive!

You can get 6 hours on the OEM battery.

Yeah i don't think 6 hours long enough as going abroad in July and 1 of my plane is 14 hours non stop :)

If I recall, the user manual actually describes how to upgrade the memory so I cant see how they could advise otherwise.

So to upgrade memory i don't need to take it apart

I really want a white one but the local store only have it in black :(

online is £20 cheaper but have it in white but i want it for this weekend ! .....decisions

p.s. i am going to return the Acer, limited viewing angle is really bugging me

Since Samsung is releasing the NC20 which is a completely new model, is that mean they are not going to make a 3G version of this ?

mrk, could you take a pic of the screen again when the image on screen isn't so dark? please? pick something bright and colourful :)

Updated above pics :)

A lot of people have been asking about how easy it is to upgrade the ram on the NC10 so I've done a quick video to show how easy it is :)

Thanks mrk.

I went to look at one today, and was surprise about the built quality not as nice as i hoped.....that silver hinge which i thought was metal is plastic for a start and the keyboard is good but some reason i prefer the feel on the AA1. The screen is good though, it's as good as most other laptops...i dunno, i might wait for the NC-20.

Got to say whilst watching some movies on this whilst in bed (awesome!) I am pleasently surprised by the sound quality! obviously not as crisp or detailed as my Xonar on the desktop but still very respectable and better than mp3 players I've heard before!

Thanks mrk.

It's annoying, the Samsung should be hands down the one to buy at the moment, but I just prefer the build of the Dell Mini 9 and the Lenovo S10 :/

Bought an Aspire One on Wednesday, but got frustrated with the problems I had installing Windows, so I've given it to the missus and got myself an NC10 over the weekend. I absolutely love it so far, amazing piece of kit for the price.

yep NC-10 rocks...use mine to work and play games/movies on train to work.

Its great as the business guys pull out their large laptops and take over whole table and i just slip out the Sammy. ;)

lol
