Done black loads of times before, i am glad i have a white one. Everything else that i have ever owned has been black, so it is nice to have a bit of colour contrast for a change.
Black samsung tv, black ps3, black desktop, printer, back dell laptop etc. You start to get slightly bored of getting black things.
I think the white looks very clinical like it should be in a hospital or something.
All my stuff is black too appart from my dell laptop. Which is bright red. I have learned from this mistake which is why i'm going back to black with the NC10.
Suppose it depends what people are using them for really, like the bloke that works with cars, white would have been a big no, no. But mine will not be used around a dirty environment, so it will stay nice a white forever.

Agree with you fella, the Samsung is pretty amazing when compared to the Wind that i had. The wind's harddrive always made funny little harddrive noises and the fan was slightly noisy.
The Samsung is just so quite and cool compared to that.

Thanks, the internal design looked good with a better heatsink and fan setup than Asus use !
But we still have the question about its sound quality from those speakers, anyone ?
i just watched never mind the buzzcocks on it through the iplayer and i have to say the speakers are fairly pants, just about watchable... but wasn't expecting them to be that brilliant really....headphone output is quite good though. Cant think of may situations where i would need the speakers tbh if i watch iplayer/listen to music on it i will probably be using headphones anyway...
after a couple of days use i have to say it is a great piece of kit. Quiet, doesn't seem to really heat up, battery life is extremely good, and the portability of it is amazing, goes in the backpack fine, easy to use on your lap on the sofa if girlfriend is watching crap tv, etc. Thought i might have problem with 10" screen, but knocked a few documents and emails out on it no problem!!

My girlfriend has an old, extremely slow laptop. So of course, she always uses mine, and its always when i want or need to use it. If she was doing something important then i wouldn't mind but all she ever does is look at the tv listings or facebook!
I find this the most annoying thing in the world!
This is why i need to buy one of these samsungs.
Its gonna stay in the lounge as a general internet browser. Its an expensive solution i know, but it will be well worth it!

Just checking, these netbooks don't have CD/DVD drives do they?
One of the guys in this thread used one to put GTA:SA on it
...plays very smoothly from the youtube vid. Surprisingly powerful these little netbooks
