Samsung NC10

I've not had any luck finding a UK link either - will go into an electronics store over the weekend o see if they have anything similar
 
Just a quick post to say I finally joined the NC10 brigade yesterday with a nice new NC10.

W7 RC1 seems to run amazingly well on it, better than xp did (no upgrades performed yet).

Have followed the tips here re EDM and EBM installs and they seem to work just fine. Having some issues with the trackpad though. If I use the little scroll area to the right of the trackpad it locks up the program, a quick end process for synaptic releases the mouse but then I back to no scrolling features. I'll have to do a bit of digging on this one and see what suggestions solutions are.

Otherwise very good little machine!

Cheers for the reply GeForce! I thinkso yes, but I can't remember for sure - anyway to tell after the event? Can I just do the install again if I messed it up 1st round or do i need to do anything special to remove the other (maybe botched) driver install?

@Nogimmix = I got the black, top case is a fingerprint magnet, I wonder if the white would have been better.
 
Blackout: just do a normal uninstall and get rid of the current one. Download the setup and right click on it. Then Troubleshoot Compatibility.

Go through the wizard and select to run in Vista SP1 as administrator.

Make sure you get the Vista x86/x64 (as appropriate) driver.
 
After around 1 month of ownership my NC10 died a terrible death when I knocked a glass of whiskey+ginger ale from the side of the bed in my sleep, onto my switched on NC10 and did not notice until the morning.

Mortified.

I've ordered a replacement already, but does anyone know where I might be able to purchase an NC10 motherboard? I see one on fleabay @£100 but can't find any others.

Wouldn't mind knowing this. I have one on my iPod Touch and its great. Is there anywhere in the UK to get one for the NC10, not even any on Ebay.

Edit - Just ordered from direct from Zagg, found a 20% off code so got it for $32.46 delivered.

Definately. E.g. using it on the toilet upstairs signal dropped to low and with Draft N, only drops to medium/high. For what it costs its its definately a worthwhile and inexpensive upgrade like the RAM upgrade.
